I'm gonna take a guess. You didn't click and watch the GoPro videos of JF-17 flying because PAF gave access to this guy to JF-17 and J-10 fligtline. You think a think thank would spam the thread with clickbait videos? Either you shooting from the hip or I am. You decide.

Another interesting observation, the video where block-3 performing high g/tight turns. Pilot wore a simple tactical helmet and head tracking/position sensors are not attached in the rear vs when the pilot wore the helmet and sensors are attached in above post. Does it mean a pilot wearing HMDS would be restricted in executing High-G turns or would avoid Dogfights and would rely more on PL-10 and HMDS to execute high boreoff sight shots?

Looks more like it depends upon mission requirement. When needed, pilots would fly with HMDS.

But the J-10C videos shows a different trend. They wore the HMDS and executed tight turns in them!

1. It is known that Chinese companies have developed various HMD (Helmet-Mounted Display) models. Pilots of the J-20 fighter jet, for instance, have been seen wearing several different types of HMDs. However, pilots in active PLA service rarely wear the "fly-eye" style of helmet; instead, they predominantly use the "panda helmet"—another type of HMD, but one that lacks the protruding, fly-eye-like structures found on the other model.
Consequently, we do not know exactly which helmet model the PAF has actually procured.

2. All "fly-eye" helmets are custom-fitted to the individual pilot's head contours.

it depends upon mission requirement. When needed, pilots would fly with HMDS.

yes thats the case , its mission dependant . even f35 pilots wear simple helmet when its just a simple ferry job etc etc and not real training /mission .
also a lot of pics PAF j10c pilots wearing simple helmets .
why wear expensive HMDs when mission doesnt require it .

Hi - "ALL" of the pictures you have posted, are of JF17's!!! The first is a J10CE leading 2 x JF17's.. Look at the canards!

It appears to be way to reduce cervical stress wherever possible, as HMDS is quite heavy. Also, during the first official induction (which featured the infamous Helmet walk),PAF only did load up the J-10CE with missiles which was on the ground, the remaining five which did the aerobatics were clean. So stress reduction, on men and machine, wherever possible.....
