The whole point of the JF17 was to have ownership of the project, so if we face any issues we can change and swap parts
Have multiple weapons from different sources integrated etc

The next part of the project for Pakistan is to indigenize as much of the JF17 as possible accept for the engine

Does the JF-17 have a confirmed kill of aircraft ? J10 seems to have stolen all the glory in May 2025 war.

Hi,

We should leave it to the less capable aircraft.

The capabilitity that the BLK 3 has shown---using it for ground strikes makes it vulnerable to enemy SA missiles---thus losing the technology.

The canon is just a wastage of space on the aesa equipped BLK3---.
Mastan Bhai, on the contrary, after the two recent conflicts, one thing is clear — cannons have become more important than ever, especially when it comes to dealing with drones. With the increasing use of cheap, disposable UAVs, it just doesn’t make sense for the PAF to waste its expensive air-to-air missiles (AAMs) on them. Jf-17s are the only aircraft that are gonna be up in large numbers and their 23mm cannons would be really cost effective in taking out drones.

Hi,

I don't disagree with your---but these will be of very limited type conflicts.

For certain types of drones---paf would need prop driven aircraft
