Joint Defense Agreement: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

Turkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan

Iran is not the target of the Mecca Joint Defense Pact, adding that nobody is a target as long as they don’t attack member countries

The pact between Turkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is technically the same as NATO’s Article 5, he says
One thing for sure is that this alliance will be tested over the next few years. Whether its houthis or iran or india etc we will all see how this plays out.

how? will this alliance attack israel ? then yes , welcome , geography can happily force us.
will it attack iran ? then no , geography can't force us since we don't share border with them.
Once the shooting starts it will be too late to join.

It was a bit of puffery from Pakistan, so what?
It was one sentence.
Pakistan could not nominate and trump would not win
Rhetorical puffery
That's it donkey.

Right.
Some words to get Pakistan loans, potential swap money ($10 billion) but above all: 70 F16s upgradation to make them near Rafale quality till 2040.

“The Sunni Crescent besieges Iran”

Or maybe Iran eventually becomes the star in the crescent? One step at a time...

I just asked Google's AI engine:
"Have Pakistan's F 16 jets upgraded by the Americans recently?"

From the response, which was almost a year old story, it was a definite approval by Washington and given how much time has elapsed since then and given Trump keeps talking positively about Pakistan, I bet the large F 16 fleet of Pakistan is already upgraded to make them near Rafale quality till 2040. Not a bad return for some sycophancy! To be noted: This upgrade request was denied by Washington in 2021/22 and we know who was the PM of Pakistan then.

Not that I know. The last I remember was Air Commodore (retired) Khalid Chisti talking about it almost a year ago and he sounded like a about 'done' deal. Both Pakistanis and the Americans have kept it a low profile.
No offense bro, but i stopped reading after..."Air Commodore (retired) Khalid Chisti talking about it..."

Doesn't matter who. Just follow other channels-- Indians were very upset over the F 16 upgrades but they not surprisingly kept a low profile on it because was too embarrassing for them. It is a done deal.
