Joint Defense Agreement: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

The paradox of western middle east doctrine may be surmised thusly - they HATE us when we win anything professionally and conventionally. They actually want us to behave irresponsibly and recklessly, as this: (a) confirms whatever antiquated orientalist viewpoint they were trained to believe in by the zionist infospehere, and (b) plays right into their strategic trap. Lessons here for Pakistan, Turkiye, Arabs, Iran and anyone else who would care to take note. Less chest thumping and more calculated pragmatism is the order of the day. Chest thumping ultimately got the likes of Saddam and Muammar killed.

I could point to hundreds of dirty little games the western world played on Turkiye over Syria. But what is clear is they want us to lose and to lose big time. Ideally they want us to destroy each other in the process.

Now Syria had behaved as a historic enemy towards Turkiye. Erdogan comes along and thinks he's going to take a different approach. So what does he do, he builds connections with Assad, so much so that they were even going on holiday together.

The syrian army was in the process of being trained by the Turkish army. I think visa free travel was enacted and even joint board meetings between both governments were being held. Turkish/Syrian relations were the best they had ever been.

Anyway the people start revolting and no doubts the Americans would have played a hand in this. The westerners cultivating peoples sentiments for their own personal geopolitical ambitions is nothing new, the Kurds are a prime example of this. I suspect a big part of the reason the revolt occurred was probably because the zionists feared Assad allying with Turkiye would be bad news for them and truthfully it would be.

Erdogan actually stayed out of the game for 6 months, he tried to get Assad to make some concessions which he believed would quell the revolt. While all of this was happening the pressure on Turkiye from the west was immense. The entire western media spectrum was painting Turkiye as an enemy. Turkey turning east, siding with wests enemies russia, iran, syria etc. The usual bullshit was pushed in their headlines.

Eventually when erdogan made the conclusion that assad couldn't quell this revolt, decided to enter the game by supporting the rebels. The logic was simple, if Turkiye stays out the game then what comes next in syria could be bad news for Turkiye. The big one being creating a pkk led Kurdistan across the entire north of Syria.

Anyway once Turkiye got involved, we were allowed to support the rebels only in a way that allowed the civil war to go on and on and on. Every single time Turkiye wanted to enter their were obstacles. Turkiye was meant to be used to ferment the conflict and to keep the fires going. Assad was never meant to go, he was to stay and the country was meant to eventually balkanise.

But the point being over the years i could point to so many instances where the west transgressed against Turkiye over Syria alone.

I still remember the incident when Turkiye downed a Russian yet, most of the western media painted the Russians as the good guys. While our nato allies outside of spain removed their air defences from our border. This moment probably convinced the Russians that if they invaded Ukraine, the europeans would simply comply with it.

And truthfully the beauty about the pure evil on display by the zionists is that its created an atmosphere where our differences in the face of the zionists seem so minor, so insignificant.

Its like how the west created a fake islamic enemy to unite all the traditionally rivaling europeans. This zionist filth has created a common enemy for the islamic world that helps to draw Muslims together. The more arrogant and wild the isrealis behave, the easier it will be to unite the Muslims.

Interesting spin by Trump to frame this as some sort of US victory. No doubt this statement is geared towards the domestic audience and disgruntled elements within the US security establishment. Trump has an eye on the midterms. Another clue is Vance trying to distance himself from the decision making leading up to the US's current predicament, and even tap into the anti-AIPAC sentiment being championed by folks like Marjorie Greene on the right (unheard of in the post-Nixon era of US politics).

However, objectively speaking this represents a strategic defeat for the US. If there is one region in the world that is purely zero sum, it is the Middle East. You do not cede strategic space here, except through coercion. And ceding space to a trio of middle powers would be unthinkable just a decade ago. Basically, this is tantamount to the US admitting that it is no longer the sole power broker in the region. No great power would take such a step unless compelled to do so - US is clearly in damage control mode.

The other major implication is that the GCC countries have finally understood that the world is multi-polar now. The illusion of US military dominance as well as political acumen in managing the ME crises has taken a major hit. US is also showing its limits under pressure in Europe and even in the Korean theatre. You might even see attempts at North/South Korea reproachment (followed by Trump taking the credit lol). A Turkey-Saudi agreement was already under consideration for last few years, but the bombing of Qatar by Israel was a wakeup call which injected some urgency. The structure in place now represents a belated recognition of the ground reality. If the US is unable to deliver on its security commitments and can easily be manipulated by Israel at the expense of GCC security, then it is effectively creating a strategic vacuum which will be filled by other great powers. This is also China's moment to say 'we told you so'.

Pakistan is China's not-so-secret trojan horse to enter into the lucrative military hardware market in the region, as well as to hedge against its energy risks (because US had hoped to foment a civil war in Iran & create serious supply interruptions for China). Russia has been busy playing its cards as well. My belief is that the Russians have been intentionally goading Iran to prolong the conflict to reduce the interceptor supply of the US - i.e. less interceptors for Ukraine. It also wanted oil prices to remain high in order to build the war chest for one last major offensive in Ukraine. Net-net GCC leaders have (belatedly) realized the game is too complex to put all your eggs in the US basket.
Probably you need to relearn how geopolitical chess is played .... Decisions with Far reaching consequences were made right after hamas adventure into Israel , all the major sunni powers along with USA were in the thick of it .. salient points were ! End of hamas ..done ...end of Assad regime..done ... disarming of Hezbollah..work in progress, nearing the finish.... cutting down Iran to size ...done .....Sunni powers to collectively take over the security of middle east..done .... creation of Palestinian state ...it will be done within next few years... integration of Israel in the middle east ..it will happen along with Palestinian statehood..... everything is going according to the script...you can pat yourself on your back for discerning the nuances and counting the punches and counter punches .

Out of the 3 countries in the alliance Pakistan faces the biggest threat. However Pakistan only has around 9billion in defence budget while Saudi+Turkey combined have over 100billion in defence budget. I think Turkey and Saudi should help strengthen and provide money for Pakistan military as it will also strengthen the alliance as well.

That really is an excellent perspective on a conflict that many here, myself included, received only snippets of news and editorial opinion on. Pretty much all of this makes perfect sense.

It really is true, now that you mention it, that the Russian fighter jet downing was portrayed as an act of Turkish aggression.

Ideal scenario would be to use Turkish technology and Saudi funding/investment to boost Pakistani industrial production capabilities of military hardware that we can use to become a net defence exporter. Funds can be used to increase Pakistan's defence spending.

When you show the spine and take the matters in your hands , the perception changes..... apart from some fringe elements no opposition to the Makkah alliance from the west....why so much butt kissing of FM muneer by trump ... whatever grudges you may have against muneer and the deplorable condition of Pak economy the man is chief architect of new security architecture in the middle east.... Turks may claim anything they want Turkey couldn't have achieved success in Syria without wink and nod from USA.

I follow Islamic eschatology, this defence pact I hope is a positive step in the right direction. We see signs already of the troubles which are on the horizon. So its imperative the 3 countries integrate their force and command structures as soon as possible.

Its very interesting Türkiye joined, a while back SA and Türkiye had very poor relations, things change and I think Pak is a strong common denominator for both sides. Türkiye also sees without the US NATO is quite toothless currently so having this alliance with powerful Muslim nations is a great hedge. Add subcontinent Muslims and Turks have a long history of brotherly relations.

Pravin Sawhney's scariest video I've watched to date. 😱
  1. The US is looking to declare the Strait of Hormuz as US territory.
  2. The US plans to use tactical nuclear weapons to “open” the Strait of Hormuz.
  3. The US is looking to shift its forces out of the GCC and deploy them to the Strait of Hormuz.
  4. The US retains the power of the Petrodollar indefinitely.

It also explains why Donald Trump is praising the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.

So, could that mean most of Asia's trade will eventually go through US territory (the Strait of Hormuz) and Israel?

A fort cant be built on shaky foundations, the kissing u have mentioned has also been shown by the pakistani side, trying to put our hands in middle east while our security situation gets worse daily is a fool's hope. China first went under the process of building its foundations and doing nothing on the global stage for decades before emerging as a world power, we are trying to do the latter without building a strong foundation and due to this its very difficult this treaty will lead to something positive if not negative.

use of tactical nuke is the scariest one. Look like trump is serious on that if he did not get what he wants.
