Learjet 60 crashes in Florida - Crashes 9 Miles from Mar-a-Lago

Because the engines are so close together on the centerline you can't really even cut power to one to cause a sudden swing change in direction if you found yourself banking.

The margins for errors or technical prblems on these small jets is small and they don’t have much chance to fix issues if it goes into such nosedives (even bigger jets face difficulty).

As per the recording they were looking to climb but then something just happened and they nosedived…

hope it isn’t that same software issue which the Boeing Max had. Hope the NTSB can find what really happened to this small plane.

I believe this is a fundamental failure of technology. No matter what the conditions or pilot errors were, from 40 thousand feet there should be ample time and built in fail safe systems in place to prevent a vertical dive into the ground at full throttle. If icing can so easily render the plane unfunctional as we've seen with so many crashes due to icing of the control surfaces, than there should be triple/quadruple backup systems installed to prevent just this type of scenario.

*******Edited the offensive bit******......................................
I dont know what happened, but the pilot was panicking too much
What the hell kind of post is this? Show some human empathy, 9 people lost their lives.

Mod Notice: will not tolerate nonsense posts in this thread.

The problem is the engines are in the rear above the flight surface center of gravity so when you throttle up the nose pitches down vs below center of gravity mid wing engines where if you throttle up the nose pitches up.

So if your horizontal stabilizers are iced up you are in big trouble. You throttle up to get above the clouds but then the nose pitches down. Seems no matter what the pilot tried doing the nose refused to pitch up.

This.

News reports are adding that housing and vehicles were "narrowly missed" on the ground.
