I dont know what happened, but the pilot was panicking too much

She was a 20 year old girl co-piloting. Forget her, a grown man would be panicking at the rate of descent they were on.

The left elevator was found 4 miles from the crash site .

Most of the left elevator was found in three pieces, an NTSB official said. Without it intact, the pilot wouldn’t have been able to pull the Learjet out of its nosedive, he said.

Yes, that appears to be the case.

I believe there is a post here stating if you look at a still just prior to impact, it is clear the horizontal stabilizer was missing.

That also supports a post of mine earlier today regarding aircraft wreckage crashing through a residence. That aircraft underwent structural failure well before the crash. Now to determine the cause.

Given her age the co-pilot had massive mental strength. still assessing the situation and being rational in a nightmare dive like that...
