Nobody is talking about removing Hezbollah. Nobody can remove ideology. That is why you have ISIS/Daesh remnants to this day and why Taliban is now ruling Afghanistan after 20 + years of light conflict.I think Hezbollah should consider something depending on outcome of this war. You can't wish them away but like Houthi's, they can evolve and mature.
Iran cannot protect them or people in Gaza. It's a daunting task. But it may still try with Lebanon because it's an important front to keep Israel occupied.
Or else Iran is going to be alone in any future fight.
What did Arabs do with Houthi's to convince Houthi's to take a neutral position in this war ? And also to maintain ceasefire (largely ) in Yemen? Arabs need to use same wisdom here to influence these factions in the region and perhaps Syrian new administration can give wisdom for them to persuade them to go non-violent route if situation allows for it. There's no guarantee Israel will stop bullying neighbors under any circumstance. It's going to keep playing dirty sabatoge role across entire region.
Hezbollah won't give up their guns but they can be more isolated from Iran. They and their base want to survive too and not he told hand everything over and become nothing. It worked in Yemen so it could work here.
People in region are trying to take a step back and chill out but the Netanyahu maniac and Jewish-American community keep fanning flames of war. I can tell you with certainty the Jewish community here in the United States are psychotic warmongers maybe you guys in Middle East don't see it but we Muslims/Arabs born in the US do and we're more disturbed by them than anything.
Hezbollah are not some saints. It is just a political militia that has tried to hijack political Shia Islam among the Shia Arab Lebanese community with outside support from the Iranian regime. Shia Arabs in Lebanon (since the first Shia migrations from modern-day KSA almost 1400 years ago) and their culture far predates Hezbollah and it will not die should Hezbollah disappear tomorrow. Nor their aspirations or hostility with Israel.
However it is idiotic to believe or expect Hezbollah to do anything meaningful against Israel. At worst, they are only going to screw Lebanon further with Israel annexing more Lebanese land and more 1000's of Lebanese people dying for nothing.
Lebanon has no other option than to create a strong inclusive military and strong inclusive state institutions and ally with their Arab brethren if they want to survive as a country. Otherwise either Israel or Syria will swallow them up again (in the case of Syria - France carved Lebanon out of Syria - in order to create a Christian Arab country aligned with Catholic France).
Houthis cannot control Yemen - they are losing ground in Yemen and most tribes living in North Yemen are heavily against Houthi control. They are not in a strong position. They have not attacked KSA even 1 for the past 5 years. Nor KSA the other way around.
Houthis have not touched KSA even once for the past 5 years. Everything that I wrote long before this conflict was/is accurate. KSA and Houthis have reached an understanding. Non-Arabs do not understand that blood is thicker than water. Whatever differences we have we are still the same people largely. People of South KSA and North Yemen are basically identical in many ways. We are all proud and stubborn Arabians and fierce historical warriors (greatest warriors in the Muslim world historically - proof - our unprecedented and numerous empires, caliphates - far bigger in size than anything else in the Muslim world), religious, cultural, linguistic etc. influence. All unprecedented. It was the work of Hijazi's, Yemenis and Najdis mostly.
vidence of this during the Yemeni civil war, Saudi Arabian soldiers captured 1000's of Houthis. Not a single one of them was executed once captured. Some 20-30 Saudi Arabian soldiers were captured by Houthis and same thing occurred.
I can post videos of both ordinary Saudi Arabian soldiers and Houthis - once capturing the opponent - saying to them that we are brothers and that we will not kill/harm you if not necessary.
Houthis are 1 tribe who with propaganda and severe nepotism and altering of traditional Zaydi Islam (they have no real historical claim to North Yemen):
Those people have: (old KSA allies interestingly - Zaydis):
Kingdom of Yemen - Wikipedia
And they are brainwashing local North Yemenis writing nonsense about KSA being in bed with Israel (despite KSA never once in history recognized Israel, zero trade with Israel, KSA went to 2 wars against Israel directly, KSA was behind the oil embargo in the 1970's that hurt the West the most economically since 1948) etc.
KSA simply does not want to see a brotherly Yemen next door divided or ruled by backward militias with support from FOREIGN hostile regimes (Iranian regime).
KSA to this day hosts the largest North Yemeni and Zaydi diaspora in the world and we live peacefully with them. They are our brethren.
If some stupid elements within Hezbollah, on behalf of the Iranian regime, did not actively fight against fellow Arabs and Muslims in Syria or conspire/propagandize against KSA/Arabs on behalf of the Iranian regime, we would be supporting them actively as we once did.
If they are genuine and want Arab cooperation against the main enemy (Israel), irrespective of sectarian/ideologies, and they are ready to merge with Lebanon and work towards Lebanese unity - we should and most likely would be supporting them. But if they are going against their own Arab and Muslim brethren in terms of rhetoric and previously direct conflicts in Yemen (support for Houthis previously against KSA/Yemen and other Arab states) and Syria, we cannot ally with them. They are the ones that started the hostility on behalf of the Iranian regime. Prior to this there were very strong tribal, clan, cultural, ancestral ties between South Lebanon and KSA/Hejaz. Most of their leading families are originally from KSA - including Nasrallah's own family which he publicly admitted many times.
And don't forget that Lebanese Sunni Muslims view KSA as their closest allies in the region along with Syrians. Same with Christian Lebanese Arabs and Maronites. Both of them view KSA very favorably and KSA hosts a large Christian Lebanese diaspora.
As for Israel, we know and understand that they are the greatest enemy of us Arabs. The Iranian Mullah's are largely irrelevant in this regard - just spoilers and meddlers in internal Arab affairs. They are not going to rule forever either. However unlike Iran - which is largely harmless and cannot threaten the existence of Arabs - Israel is nuclear armed, insane society/state and supported 24/7 by the US. It is not easy to "deal with them" for those reasons.
