Just like the US and Israel have seriously overestimated the amount of damage they have inflicted on Iran through their air campaign in the current war, Israel made the same overestimation mistake against Hezbollah in November 2024.
While Israel got some significant tactical victories against Hezbollah in November 2024 and onwards, it was no where near even destroying Hezbollah. Most of Hezbollah’s arsenal has remained intact, in deep underground tunnel facilities. Hezbollah has built up its arsenal over decades, and it cannot be eradicated by a few weeks or even months of aerial war by Israel.
What happened most probably post November 2024 was that Hezbollah took a step back (probably at the direction of Iran) from the Palestinian conflict, and introspected its vulnerabilities. That is how it has come out stronger than before.
