Lebanon-Israel War | 2023-present

So there is one point where they are on the Litani bank. Unfortunately...I hope that is just regrouping of Hezbollah 🙏
in that area the litani is closest to the border, it's not a big surprise

Israeli strikes in south Beirut continue daily

Hezbollah needs to fire many heavy rockets as the Zionists seem to be bombing with little regard to retaliation.

Unless there is a painful price paid then Zionists will keep on bombing Lebanon with 2000Ib bombs.

purple means areas of IDF presence / control

pink is everything below Litani river

In terms of balance of power between the two sides, what can one infer from publicly available information about the pink area? Is it still held by Hezbollah, or contested ground that both sides are fighting for? Or do something else?

IDF does not "control" anything. The Purple is merely the locations where the IDF has had a presence at a given time in the last 2 months!!!

pink area is controlled by Hezbollah and areas where the IDF did not enter

ok they have a 'presence' there if you prefer

Then I don’t see how they’re going to force the Hezbollah to go back over the Litani river.
With internal political pressure in Lebanon, shia population is 1/3 of Lebanon, so Israel expected that other parts of population will enforce Hezbollah to give up, for the sake of peace...

But, is clear that Bibi almost openly admitted that only destruction of Hezbollah once for all is acceptable to him..

And, while it is true that various population groups don't like Hezbollah, it's also true that above all they hate Israel in the first place...And, like ex president of Israel said, no matter of eventual election results, majority of Lebanon support Hezbollah in the clash with idf...but mossad is most powerful terroristic organization in the world, and have spies everywhere...

But it is also true that they are distancing to CIA, with growing distrust each other...

Hezbollah have to survive for a while, few months maybe, and they will have the victory....It's not easy against opponent that in few days destroyed all Arabian armies around, this is superhuman effort by Hezbollah...

Ps
Lebanon is not Gaza, Lebanon has 15 religious groups and strong diaspora...French are pissed off for maronites and destroyed churches, only Hezbollah was able to protect that churches...Politically this is idiotic step by Bibi, just Hezbollah have to survive 🙏
