purple means areas of IDF presence / control
pink is everything below Litani river
IDF does not "control" anything. The Purple is merely the locations where the IDF has had a presence at a given time in the last 2 months!!!status of Israeli ground invasion of south Lebanon

pink area is controlled by Hezbollah and areas where the IDF did not enterIn terms of balance of power between the two sides, what can one infer from publicly available information about the pink area? Is it still held by Hezbollah, or contested ground that both sides are fighting for? Or do something else?
ok they have a 'presence' there if you preferIDF does not "control" anything. The Purple is merely the locations where the IDF has had a presence at a given time in the last 2 months!!!

they think if they commit more massacres of civilians in Beirut every night then Hezbollah will agree to withdrawThen I don’t see how they’re going to force the Hezbollah to go back over the Litani river.
With internal political pressure in Lebanon, shia population is 1/3 of Lebanon, so Israel expected that other parts of population will enforce Hezbollah to give up, for the sake of peace...Then I don’t see how they’re going to force the Hezbollah to go back over the Litani river.
