Made in KSA

Just looking at the link and I notice this news was from 2017. Has anything happened yet?

I'm guessing the US stuck its nose in without a doubt and put the kiobash on the whole deal. Bastards lol. That was the same year Congress passed CAATSA.

And what do you make of Sami's claim that there are many Russian fighter jets in Saudi possession that apparently no one knows about? Did you read that quote in the EAF thread?
Well..Yes.. the US responded the next day after the S-400 deal by promising to accelerate the THAAD delivery and even throwing in some ToT!..since they heard the S-400 was sold to Saudi Arabia with ToT..

But KSA kept its options open and the S-400 card (we can call it like that- for milking ToT for the patriot system too) is still on the table.. The rest of the deal went through with all its ToT to be made in KSA..Just basic but potent systems..

CAATSA won't work if the US don't give KSA what it wants and needs..also the Chinese option is there too..

Ok now I'm really confused, sorry. It's keeping its options open for the S-400 but the rest of the deal went through with all its ToT for which system, the S-400? So KSA has some ToT for the S-400 but not the whole system?

Not the S-400..I was talking about the other systems.. but maybe some components of the S-400 to practice on and learn from for KSA's own air-defense systems.. they might have sent 1 or two systems already for that purpose.. no missiles yet..

As for the Russian aircrafts maybe the same has happened.. a few to study and learn from their technologies..Some Saudi students were sent to Russian military academies a while back.. they must have returned already..

SERB Advanced Industries Company obtains a contract to produce “suicide drones” for the Saudi army

Saudi Arabia's Serb Advanced Industries confirmed that it is mass-producing small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the Saudi military

1713998112755.jpeg

A company official told Janes that both the Jaser and larger Samil are in production, although he declined to name which branch of the Saudi military has ordered them

Serb identified the UAV as the JASIR during WDS, where one was displayed on its pneumatic launcher. The company described it as a multi-purpose UAV that can carry different payloads, including an electro-optical/low-wave infrared system. It has a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 13 kg, a wingspan of 2.08 m, an endurance of 45 minutes, and a service ceiling of 4,000 m

The JASIR aircraft has a range of up to 60 kilometers and has the ability to target fixed and moving enemy positions that reach speeds of up to 90 km/h. This is thanks to the fact that it is equipped with thermal and daytime cameras that can be directed manually or via a computer that locks on the target automatically and also supports remote targeting. By GPS, it is launched using an air pressure platform and flies at an altitude of up to 4000 metres. The aircraft carries different types of payloads depending on the mission, with a weight of 3 kg. It is operated by only two operators. It is also lightweight, with a total weight of 11 kg. It is also resistant to penetrations between communications between the direction point and the aircraft. .

1713998069601.jpeg

Serb also displayed the larger Samil, which the company official said was developed from 2022 in line with Saudi military requirements for an aerial target, with deliveries beginning at the end of 2023

1713997690815.jpeg

SAMIL has an MTOW of 105 kg, a length of 3 m, and a wingspan of 4.67 m. It is launched using a rocket booster and powered by a piston engine, giving it a top speed of 250 km/h, a service ceiling of 4,500 m, and a datalink range of 60 km. The official said it can carry an 18 kg payload although it is a disposable target..

Flight Global first reported that the Royal Saudi Air Force may be looking at a modernization..

Its current fleet is F-15SA while it may seek to acquire up to 54 new aircraft Eagle II.
The current fleet could be equipped with new radar and updated electronic warfare equipment.

1714001725292.jpeg

Torbjörn Sjögren, Vice President and General Manager of Services, said:
Our commitment to the Saudization in working with the [local] industry was something we were already doing and believed in.”.. For long-term participation through Saudi companies such as AECC and Alsalam

1714001966944.png

Boeing has touted the F-15EX's capabilities, calling it a 21st century evolution of the F-15.
Which has proven its effectiveness. The F-15 is a twin-engine, all-weather tactical aircraft
With one of the most successful track records of modern fighters with over 100 victories
And without losses in air combat.

1714002067283.jpeg

Boeing F-15EX
It is a two-seat, all-weather, multi-role fighter..It provides enhanced capabilities, including wired flight controls, and new weapons stations..A new electronic warfare suite, advanced radar and computer, conformal fuel tanks, and a fighter plane..Airframe reinforcement. The improved F-15EX also features a deep magazine that allows it to carry a quantity of
of advanced weapons — but with 28 percent more payload than the F-15E.

1714002436535.png

At the same time, the fighter will require only minimal transitional training
of additional manpower than older versions of the F-15. According to the US Air Force
It required little or no infrastructure changes.

It is estimated that the F-15EX shares about 70 percent parts with the F-15C and the current F-15E that it will replace. Additionally, the original production lines are still in St. Louis in its place, while aircraft training facilities and maintenance depots could also be converted.. And other infrastructure can easily support the F-15EX.

Saudi Arabia may not be the only Middle Eastern country interested in the Eagle II
Last year, Israel sent a formal request to the United States for 25 fighter jets
With plans to acquire up to 50 aircraft.

1714002499184.png

Boeing is in talks with the Royal Saudi Air Force to export 54 Boeing F-15EX Eagle II fighters, with the conversion of 84 F-15SA fighters to F-15EX.

It should be noted that on November 10, Dassault submitted an official detailed offer to export 54 Rafale fighters to the Saudi Air Force.

Saudi Arabia is planning a Chinese radar deal ($2.9 billion)

Saudi Arabia plans to conclude new deals worth CNY 21 billion to purchase the YLC_16 and SLC-7 radars..

YLC_16
1714158393205.jpeg

The YLC-16 radar adopts 2D electronic scanning active phased array technology, light and thin & modular design. It detects fixed wing aircrafts, helicopters, UAVs and cruise missiles at medium/long range, providing integrated situational information of the battle field. It is capable of providing target indication information for short/medium range ground to air weapon system.

  • Light, thin, modular and block building antenna structure
  • 2D electronic scanning + 1D mechanical scanning
  • Highly integrated and sub array cooling design
  • Open parallel information processing structure

SLC-7
1714158621837.jpeg

The SLC-7 radar can detect and track conventional aircraft, stealth targets, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles, air-to-surface missiles, tactical ballistic missiles, artillery, rockets, etc. It mainly provides long-distance surveillance, Early warning, target designation, tracking and guidance. SLC-7 radar has an effective detection range of 450 kilometers, Its positioning error is 90 meters.

Features:
·All solid-state, all coherent, all digital active phased array radar
·Long distance detection
·Multiple mission capabilities

The news says:

The success of Chinese radars in early warning was superior to Western equipment.

Anechoic chambers in general, are used to test and measure noise patterns, resistance to intrusive electromagnetic waves, and suppression of the emission of electromagnetic waves to the outside world (outside the room). A wide range of test conditions can be simulated, and many conditions and variables can be generated that are not available in external scopes (outside the room). Conducting and evaluating tests for anomalies associated with electronic warfare systems, avionics, tactical missiles, and their host platforms. Tests can be conducted on spacecraft, satellites, aircraft of all types, armored vehicles, tanks, air defense systems, radars, defense assistance systems, subsystems, antennas, and others.
