Basically many groups in yemen were under the control of the UAE, when the saudis signed the pact, these groups were told to stand down allowing the iranian backed houthis to make gains. This panicked Saudi and then naturally pulled them back towards the Isreali/UAE axis.

So basically the houthis have been used by isreal to bully the saudis back into their camp. With the saudis moving more towards isreal, it means they will become more entrenched against Iran.

Without a viable alternative security umbrella like the Mecca pact, its impossible to pull the saudis away from isreali/zionist ambitions in the region.

When we look at the outcome of everything iran related in the region, it always seems to benefit isreal.

Almost seems like you're trying to make excuses for Saudis here.

A week ago all was against UAE. But now it's alright to have Saudis work with them because the Zionist gave them no choice.

Mecca Pact or without it will never fix this mess. Especially when you got UAE and Saudis together happy to work with Israel.

The one thing I am unsure is if this Mecca pact 10-years too late or 10-years too early to make any difference in the region.

I think its merely the US-Israel-GCC alliance coming out into the open. They have been one team operating since the late 1970's. With the Makkah pact, Pakistan and Turkey have also openly declared membership of this team.

Not really....

Instead it is the B team that Saudis or GCC can flaunt... saying have an alternative while they keep propping up the collective. While US can sanction both Turkiye and Pakistan... and Pakistan is not in any official alliance with US anymore. And US still sanctioned F 35s to Turkiye... that debacle arose from the fact the US was not willing to share the interceptor technology, China and Russia were, and when Turkiye went with S-400 ... US punished by removing Turkiye from F-35 program, that, while being second most powerful military in NATO.

Saudis keep getting back in a position to stab Muslims in the back because of Islam and custodian card. What they're doing now is playing the alternative they signed with what the collective has to offer... which is going to cost an arm and a leg with a foot on their neck, chocking them!
Pakistan has since moved on largely from US tech altogether and Turkiye has built it's own complex. In many ways a generation ahead of what the collective has to offer.

But are we good with UAE now?

They no longer the devils that support Israel?

Or we just pretend it's ok because its Saudis?

There is no other way to put it...
UAE stabbed Pakistan at the peak of aggression on Iran... to arm twist Pakistan into submission...

Yeah, they have to manage the optics for states that have not yet formally recognized Israel and there are internal rivalries between the Arab states, but, as far as the bigger picture is considered, they are all under the American umbrella.

I dont disagree on the costing an arm and a leg since the Saudis are masochist about being fleeced by western suppliers - but what is backstabbing muslims here?

What potential historical record do you have of muslim collectiveness on identity or issues - heck - even go back 1000 years.. that you can call it "backstabbing muslims"?
