Maldives sacks multiple ministers to pacify India

It's the govt that's being targeted, not the students.

Clarity of mind leads to clarity of thought.
Clarity of thought is a wonderful thing.
Cut off 25% of their revenue, and the government will be hurt. The students will realise that it is their 'bounden duty' to get rid of that government. And once again, it will be demonstrated that bulldozers have the highest understanding of the rule of law.

Majority of staff working in Maldivian resorts is Indians (almost half is from Kerala). The pilots who fly their sea-planes carrying tourists and essential supplies (such as groceries) are mostly Indians. The travel agents arranging tours for rich westerners are mostly Indian. Any rash decision puts their employment under risk.
We need to target the anti-India lobby by strengthening the pro-India lobby in Male.

How do we do this?
Reduce the need for staff working in the resorts?
Reduce the flights needed to fly in people?
That strengthens the pro-India lobby and weakens the anti-India lobby?

Also, any Maldivian student studying in India needs clearance from Home Ministry. Home ministry must keep an idea which colleges are creating hatred for Indians in the heart of young impressionable students of Maldives. It would've long-term effects on our relations with the island.

Don't worry about that.
JNU and Jamia Millia have already been schooled.
As for the others, it is obviously more important that Maldivean students studying there should not be corrupted; Indian students don't really matter.
It is also so much more logical to have the Home Ministry running the country, and allowing the minister for education (they call it the ministry for human resource development) to concentrate on the elections.

With clear thinking like this, our country is assured of a glorious future.

I am saying that creating hostility with Maldives would hurt us as well. They earn forex through our tourists but we earn part of the forex back by our employees.

A long-term sustained trade embargo by India would cause skyrocketing inflation in Male. Maldives is extremely isolated. This is almost like a nuclear weapon. it should be the last resort. Till then the govt needs to deal tactfully.

Did we reject their elected leader despite provocations like beating Indian PMs dummy with slippers? No
He said he wanted to remove Indian troops, we negotiated but did we force his hand - No

and then when we decide, fine we will develop our territory as a tourst spot then they call us smelly and you have a problem with us not giving them our money.
