A PakistanAirForce Mirage VPA-3 of No. 8 Squadron “Haiders” flies over the coastline, armed with AM-39 Exocet anti-ship missiles and a pair of AIM-9P Sidewinders. Fitted with the Agave maritime strike radar, the Mirage VPA-3 served as a dedicated anti-surface warfare platform before its retirement in 2022, when it was succeeded by the AESA-equipped JF-17 Block III in PAF service.

In its final years, the type was further upgraded to operate AIM-9L Sidewinders and REK Stand-Off Weapons (SoWs). In this configuration, the aircraft is seen carrying an AIM-9L along with an ACMI pod, reflecting its late-service operational and training role.
