Like many other members, I am perplexed as to why additional provinces have not been established in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, and why Islamabad has not been officially designated as a province. I recommend implementing proper devolution to the third tier, including Sindh, while excluding Sindh temporarily from the broader provincialization process, to be integrated at a later stage. Pakistan, as a nation, must not be hostage to the interests of a single political party [read PPP].

Based on the article that you shared with me. All I understand is PTI is not against provinces but it doesn't want it to be forced on people. I dont think there is anything wrong with this recommendation. After all CDS and Mohsin Naqvi are not avatars of ancient deities whose all commands should be taken as commands from God.

If it is people's will in a democratic way, how could you get Pakistan?
Pakistan is racially, religiously, ethnically fractious society.
Do you think people consider larger interest of the country? No.
Would sindh accept kalabagh dam? No.

Because they don't want to be used by Establishment momentarily in this new provinces campaign against PPP/PML-N and then to be discarded later. Establishment has to agree to PTI demands first.

Establishment has bungled the politics badly.

Islamabad: Granting provincial status need of the hour: Naqvi​

ISLAMABAD: Federal minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Dr. Muhammad Amjad called on Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi and held detailed discussion on the country’s political situation, the creation of new provinces, and administrative reforms.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi stated that more provinces are essential for national stability, development, and the resolution of public issues.

He said that the country’s population has increased manifold, yet the administrative structure remains outdated.

Mohsin Naqvi said granting provincial status to the federal capital, Islamabad, was need of the hour. Ch Salik said that increasing the number of provinces will ensure equal attention and prompt administrative services for the public.

Dr Amjad said that the plan to grant provincial status to Islamabad is excellent idea and aligns with public needs. He said that provincial assembly will provide the citizens of Islamabad the opportunity to elect their own representatives.
