I’m No expert on Sikhs are they Buddhisms? They don’t need to carry a real knife a ceremonial medallion is sufficient to honour what there religious beliefs are. Does anyone know what there religion is I seen pictures its looks like a mash up of other religions or something?

It borrows from both Hinduism and Islam. They got Gurus that they follow as divine entities. The kirpan they carry is to protect themselves and the "weak". They have many complaints against Aurangzeb. It's basically the religion of one Punjabi ethnic group in India.

UPDATE, BBC:

"On Thursday, Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch posted on X, external that she had met Nowak's mother, father and stepmother, and praised their courage.

She wrote: "They have asked that we work across political parties and religions to rebuild trust in the police. That trust has been broken because of what happened, and I agree with them on that.

"We must also be prepared to examine, carefully and seriously, religious practices or exemptions that permit the carrying of dangerous weapons in public, and other activities that are not conducive to the public good. We also need to examine where the law needs to change."

Vickrum Digwa, 23, was jailed for life with a minimum of 21 years for murder on Monday, after which Henry Nowak's father, Mark, appealed for calm outside the court."

Excellent statement by Badenoch of the Conservatives (never imagined I would ever say that!), in my opinion.

Don't know what she means by "other activities not conducive to the public good" though - sounds a bit deflectionary.

But overall, FINALLY, SOMEONE HAS SAID IT.

Watch the opportunist Farage jump on this bandwagon now and pretend he would do the same. Tommy still won't though. He's made his bed far too cosy with the dharmic extremists trying to push their saffronist agenda. I notice Musk is still larping on about "2 tier policing saar" also.

I still don't understand what led to the guy being murdered, what was the motive? Just a random fight or argument? Not saying the sikh is exonerated, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some element of racial abuse from the white guy.

Saw a horrible video out of another p@jeet hellhole of Caynayda...still traumatized by it, where a p@jeet stabbed a white kid in front of a coffee shop, must have hit his jugular, poor dude bled to death within a few minutes...absolutely terrible way to die.

Was this in Brampton ?

Post a link to the news report.

The sikh has previous. Bro hes carrying a proper sword - unstable - hot tempered and loose cannon. May have had an altercation - not sure but to stab the lad 4 or 5 times THEN know he is bleeding to death and keep quiet - to get his mother to hide the knife and pretend he was the victim - pretty scummy low life stance.
IMO - no one including sikhs should be allowed to carry knives.

Nowak did trigger it but there was nothing sinister or malicious.

The footage was analysed from multiple CCTV sources and mobile phone footage of Nowak's phone.

It is believed that in the early hours Nowak was walking to his student accommodation from a night out. He had been drinking but was not drunk. My understanding is that he and Digwa either collided or came close to each other on the street. At some point after initial words were presumably exchanged, Nowak recorded further events on his phone and said to Digwa "you a bad man?", which in the context of the footage was not meant as a serious question of character but usually is meant playfully, as in "you think you're a gangster or something bro?".

Whatever the context, Digwa was triggered and responded "I am a bad man", I.e. "yes bro I'm gangster". Then there was physicality from Digwa as he snatched Nowak's phone, followed by a struggle when the stabbing occurred.

If this sequence of events is true, clearly Digwa is a violent and unstable individual, who overreacts to a relatively innocent comment.

In my opinion, he probably overreacts and believes he has the power to exert immediate disproportionate retribution PRECISELY BECAUSE there is a concealed imbalance of power IN HIS FAVOUR by virtue of the law.

I posit, from a psychological perspective, that Sikhs like this guy are emboldened to challenge others physically over a minor verbal altercation PRECISELY BECAUSE they have a concealed weapon, which they know - however innocent they pretend to be with the "it's ceremonial saar!" B.S. - can potentially tip the balance of any physical fight that follows. A Sikh in this scenario can play 2 cards - 1. By provoking a physical sequela of any verbal spat, he can stab his opponent and then play a "self defence" card (which he actually tried to play in the initial police call out though his brother lied on his behalf about the use of weaponry) and 2. The "I carry a knife for religious purposes but instinctively deployed it because I was under threat" card.

That enhanced propensity to violence is because he knows he has a blade and Nowak doesn't.

Consider this - if another Sikh had challenged Digwa verbally that night, would Digwa have been so arrogant in responding with physicality (snatching a person's phone)? I doubt it, since the playing field would be level in his mind I.e. his blade no longer tipped the balance of power in his favour as his opponent may also have had a blade!

So the solution is quite simple. Either we all get to carry blades (more than happy to walk around with a Mughal talwaar if the law ever changed to permit it!)...or nobody does, regardless of religious mumbo jumbo from dharmics.

Absolutely, if he wasn't armed then it would be nothing more than a punch up and a couple of bruises.

Before this I didn't even know they were legally allowed to carry a weapon. I also didn't know they were so into swordplay.

This loophole has to be closed. This isn't India where anything goes.

This is also grounds for religious extremism.

This was taken in Jan 2025, surely this was the warning sign. He's in the workplace carrying a knife and nobody was concerned? :ROFLMAO:

If I was sipping my coffee in the office in the morning and saw this odd looking prick roll in with a knife strapped to him I would walk straight out the door.
