The Arakan army has captured more than 95% of the townships in Rakhine state and they are onto the path of declaring Rakhine state as an independent state. The Burmese army have suffered huge casualties and is slowly retreating from the region. Below is the recent map released just yesterday to show the defeat of Burmese forces in Rakhine state

Myanmar junta still have a strong hold in Bamar majority populated regions.muse is the only city currently left under junta control in northwestern Shan state but it's fully surrounded by rebel groups from three brotherhood alliance (arakan army, TNLA, and Mndaa) which have close ties and supplied by United Wa State army in the east.

Even if the junta is dethroned, there will be many more autonomous regions because the rebel groups don't want to give up control over to the new government like that of uwsa, ndaa,
Rcss (formerly known as mong tai army led by Khun sa biggest drug lord in the golden triangle) , and Sspp groups which are not involved in the conflict with the junta.
