I think Narcos season 4 was the last time I sat and watched a movie or series on Netflix or any of the stream apps. I don't know about now but Netflix had great original series and were killing it including their Sci Fi series one of them was Travelers great series unfortunately final season it looked like the writers ran out of ideas.

They still have good content and their ad tier is decent. It does not overwhelm you with commercials like Prime or HBOMax or broadcast/cable.

I canceled HBO, Showtime and all the other worthless movie networks years ago since I wasn't watching movies anymore. Right now 99% of my entertainment comes from YT when college football and NFL starts that's when I go back to TV/network.

Well, Funnier is that Netflix wanted to trial "always on streaming" with various episodes running consistently..

In other words the geniuses have discovered TV programming... again

About what you said.. I'm currently on the Netflix cheap plan with ads. What I appreciate about it is they're not intrusive ads and don't last very long for the most part

Can't comment on HBO Max because I'm currently on the ad free tier.

Soft power for Indonesian too, now many Indonesian movies are accessble world wide. I see Germany, Japan, Korean also produce good movies

There are many platforms and majority of them doing good, Netflix, Prime video, Apple TV, Disney, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount.

I’m a big sci‑fi fan, and lately I’ve been revisiting some of my favorites. I watched Travelers twice, and I’m gearing up to rewatch I, Robot. I recently saw an interview where someone mentioned Elon Musk predicting that by 2032, AI could take over most jobs and it instantly made me think of I, Robot and how close some of those themes feel now.

Indonesian also has several streaming business, pretty much 95 % Indonesian movies, sports, etc. Pretty cheap.

That is for market in Indonesia that love drama, but for me it is important only for sports event like SEAGAMES, Asian Games as they are usually those who buy the license, not traditional TV

Traditional TV still exist though for Indonesia and it can still catch up as all of them also digitalized ( good quality)
