The excitement primarily stems from the fact that the system has enabled a minority to rise and be accepted by their peers through a vote, while also showing that minorities do have a way to respond. The same can't be said of South Asia and the MENA region, where the will of the people is trampled upon.

It proves once again that the American governance system works and is by far the best; regardless of whether his policies work or not, the system has allowed us to filter out the old and bring in a fresh talent pool. It didn't care if he was Sunni, Shia, Wahabi, or any other non-essential sect, or who he was married to. The system allowed people to look past that nonsense and look at him individually as a person.

But as you said, you're looking at it from the outside, and do not have the same experience or governance style, or rather, no say in how your country functions.

Let me also say, what America does internally and externally is viewed differently. The average everyday American is more concerned about the internal, and leaves the external to those who know best.

Was talking to a friend all of last night about Mandani, he still live in NYC and I think he share some good insight as to why and how he has won.

He said, Mandani don't back off from anything, and instead of saying "i am not this, I am not that" when he was confronted with questions like his religion and where he comes from or his socialist beliefs, he simply said "I am a Muslim, so what?" or "I am a socialist, so what?" He don't back down from his ideology, which people see as authentic, unlike the "establishment" that seems to care about too much being "right" (not political right) than being themselves, and that is a big contrast when you see in 2024 where those dem establishment basically doing photo ops with ex-Republicans and billionaires.

Another thing Mandani stand out is he does had a plan in mind, and have a very well defined goal, he run on afforability, whether it's from cost of living or housing, his plan, now I am not saying it may or may not work, but his plan were there, he want to established state run groceries store, free bus ride, free subway, free childcare, frozen rent, while I don't think many of them are doable, but this is a plan nonetheless, and it is the same thing Spanberger runs on and Sherill runs on, that's hit people nerve especially when Trump promise price will be lower from day 1, which is now almost a years gone, and price is risen by 3%. That seperate Dem and GOP candidate in this election.

As for whether or not this would carry on in 2026 midterm?
