I've got a Dell laptop from 12 or 13 years around here as well. That was the test bed for Linux before I moved to desktops to it.

Think it was 14 years ago. Lived upstairs from a disabled couple who had a very active six year old daughter.

Set aside every Saturday to walk Eleanor downtown. Didn't have hearing aids, but no matter, we had fun.

The game we played was visiting another business, I let her do her thing....

"Hello, my name is Eleanor, what are you doing?"

You have no idea how much I enjoyed watching business owners drop what they were doing to tell this little girl what they do.

One afternoon, before we reached main street, Eleanor asked me if she can talk to the police man who just pulled someone over.

"Hello, my name is Eleanor, what are you doing?"

I about died laughing watching the cop put down his pen and tell Eleanor why he was writing a ticket.

Anyways, Eleanor's father, although disabled, was an expert in computers, and as a gift, for my kindness, built a laptop for me.

The day I had to move out, because I could no longer afford my two bedroom apartment, Eleanor came to see me.

Told me I needed to follow her.

She took me to see the Knife Maker, an old man who was bedridden.

Eleanor told me to sit on the front porch and wait. The Knife Maker got out of his hospital bed, came out to shake my hand.

When I moved into that neighborhood, kids and others were afraid to be outside.

Once settled in, went up to the main dope dealer and told him he had to go. Tried to bluff me. Told him he better take his best shot right then or leave. He punked out.

Baseball playoffs are underway. Currently in the wildcard round. SD-CHC split a pair so far as have DET-CLE.

Going to watch the Red Sox-Yankees here in a bit. Game already in progress. Amazing how far the Yankees have fallen.

Watching all the games except Reds and Dodgers

Watching all the games except Reds and Dodgers

Well, Cleveland is a spectator this moment forward for the remainder of the season.

Cubs-Padres on now.

Reds-Yankees at 1700 my time. 0500 in Pakistan.

ETA: One of the engineers who worked for me lives in Hudson, OH. That is a 'burb of Cleveland and he's a big fan. Was able to score a ticket to the game on Tuesday. Early starts are tough because that means he has to leave work early. Since he's technically "work from home".......LOL. Which I was classified as well.

So he's not happy at the moment.

Well, that's a wrap. Yankees move on. Boston spends the rest of the season as spectators.

Division series starts Saturday. Detroit will have some tough competition with Seattle. Yankees play Toronto in Toronto.

Detroit and Seattle played two series during the regular season.

4-2 in favor of Seattle.

The second time they met, started Detroit's losing streak after the All-star break when they lost three straight to Seattle.

So we will see.
