Old Man's Corners

Where's Davey been?

Haven't seen him post in awhile.
Been kind of down. My favorite cat, Trippy was found in a dumpster with a bullet hole in his head. Same guy who shot me in the leg back on September 10th.

Thankfully the charges against me were dropped.

Good friend of mine now facing three felonies by the same dirty cops. Sixty years old, clean record, diesel hauler. He will likely lose his job and Haz Mat license.

Thankfully I was off that night. Dirty cops tased him nine times as he was trying to comply with their demands. Ladies at work still in shock, witnessing the police brutality against an older man. Especially one like Brian who was always the one who gladly gave money to help others.

Last week I asked the officer investigating the shooting of me two months ago, told him what happened to Trippy, when will he finally arrest the druggy? He snapped at me, telling me if I bring it up one more time he will throw me in jail for disorderly conduct.

First time in over a month that I brought it up.

Detroit is the only team in NFL history with at least 21 passing touchdowns, 13 rushing scores and six or fewer turnovers through the first nine games of a season.

Goff has completed 70% or more of his passes in eight straight road games, the longest streak in league history.

The NFC East-leading Eagles likely will need Brown’s help to keep up with the high-powered and NFC North-leading Lions, who rank second in the NFL with 31.4 points per contest behind the strong play of Jared Goff. Detroit’s quarterback is first in the league in completion percentage (74.0) and ranks second in passing touchdowns (20) and quarterback rating (117.7).

With Lions coach Dan Campbell calling the plays, Detroit produced a season-high 546 yards in Sunday’s 44-22 win at Washington. The head coach will be calling the plays again on Sunday night against the Eagles.

“I just feel like it’s the right thing to do right now and I’m going to do it,” Campbell said. “Am I perfect? No, I’m not perfect. Players are going to have to bail me out.”

Steelers and Bengals brought a little extra entertainment to the field today. And, the Steelers managed to come out on top.

Looking forward to this evening's dinner. Teriyaki chicken, rice (type not known at the moment), vegetable I'm sure followed by carrot cake.

Finally eating a little better following last week. And, we know a number of people who are either sick at the moment or just getting over being sick as well.

I don't care what happens in Eagles game the Rams are the #1 team as of today with Broncos a close 2nd.

Quite ok. We may be old guys but we're not always grumpy. Feel free to come back when you hit 60.
In the meantime, make the most of the years you've remaining until you do reach 60.

I have done many ocean cruises and on some ships, there is an adult-only area where anyone under 21 was not allowed, even frowned upon. So when parents thought they could bring their rugrats occasionally was 'cute', no one like the kids or the parents and the intruders didn't last long. Hahaha!

How are you feeling now?

Very well, thanks for asking.

Other than a little lingering sinus drainage and even less lung congestion, worked outside pretty much all day today. The rain that was supposed to saturate the PHX area pretty much missed a good portion of the east side of the valley where the house is located. So it made for a great day.
