Old Man's Corners

Had our outdoor activity today. Rain stayed away until the afternoon when we were finished. And then it POURED not to mention thunder and lightening.

Skies were dark and cloudy for whole event. High got to 71F but it was a cool 71F. Winds strangely remained constant all day; 15-20MPH right straight from east to west. That made it manageable.

Still raining this morning; not hard; just a drizzle. Which is fine. We need the water.

Enjoying my breakfast of fresh watermelon, 12-grain toast, and of course, coffee.

It was this time last year the countdown began. Broke the news to the team; was on vacation Thanksgiving week, came back; worked the 2-1/2 weeks of peak, went on vacation again, and came back on the last day of the year to turn in the badge and the laptop.

I don't know how many of us oldies remember here this movie. I remember it from the early 90s and watched it again and again from a VHS tape in a VCR in early 90s and especially this last scene. Heck, I was even tempted to go to Montana and become some Park Ranger then! Haha.
But honestly, great movies like this started becoming rarer and rarer with the rise of the smart phone era in late 2000s.

The Rams 🐏 are cruising.
Eagles lose to the Cowboys 🤠
Chiefs stay alive beating the Colts
Bears 🐻 and Packers win
Patriots win their 10th
9ers play on Monday night and need to beat the panthers to stay in the playoff picture.

Had fog this morning as the weather dude had predicted. It has now lifted. The skies are clear and sunny. Not a cloud in the sky.

Nothing like a crisp Fall day at high altitude!
Speaking of Fall, I had blow away leaves twice from my deck in last ten days but now there are many more. This has been a most beautiful Fall season at my semi-secluded, deeply wooded homestead.

Lacklustre win by the 9ers. Move to 8-4. Next up the Cleveland Browns.
