I know I may have posted videos about this before but I find the problem and solution fascinating..

As somebody who has written some pretty complicated apps if you were to tell me to design the machine in this video I would have said it was impossible. There's simply way too many variables and the fact is most people are jerks and would do the stupidest things possible to make sure the machine would fail (too close to cars, next to a pole, etc).

But it works..I have yet to see it f-up. I had my barrels on an uneven snowbank in the sidewalk area infront of my house (i had shoveled my walk and piled the snow in the "no man's land grass area" and the machine never batted an eye.

Both the grocery store and dollar store had what I needed. Didn't see anyone else preparing for tomorrow.

The town golf course was filled with golfers. Guess everyone is set for the next five days 😂

I was born there. It was also a place for poor pregnant teens in Wayne county to give birth.

Anyways, it's cool I can now tell others I was born in an asylum on Alice Cooper Ct.

For us in the southwest too. Temps are going to drop low to mid 60's for highs that means no more sandals for me but socks and sneakers with shorts. 😭
 
Again, the forecast gets worse. It's the extreme cold, freezing water lines, what concerns me.

Will have to shut the water off at the main, and bleed the lines tomorrow morning, at the latest.

Doesn't look like I will have running water until February 3rd.

Sounds like you've made adequate preparations though. Many people don't.
