Old Man's Corners

UGH!

Just when I think the Penguins are playing playoff caliber hockey, they say "hold our beer".

Leading 5-1 in the 3rd against the Rangers and ended up winning 6-5. One of the goals was an assist by a Pittsburgh defender. Ricochet off his stick into the net.

smh
As long as you win 🏆

True that.

Sad thing is, I don't think Mike Sullivan will be long with the Rangers. After Pittsburgh released him for not performing, the Rangers sent out a letter today that there will be some changes in the organization which means familiar faces will be gone.

My upper back remains sore all the time. Then I started doing this. The result is amazing. 50% soreness gone. A week or 2 of this exercise and I'm hoping to get 💯 % relief

Great day for working outside. Was 40F when I started. 70F once the main course for dinner tonight was done on the smoker.

Got started on the layout for the shed foundation. Had to adjust the location by 4ft. and reduced the depth by 1ft. Not the end of the world. 56SF will work for what I have planned.

Using 4x6 pressure treated beams sitting on concrete pavers for the foundation. Pressure treated will resist rot and termites. Plus, being on the pavers will help. For 56SF, that isn't even a full yard of concrete for a slab so decided this route will be better. Everything currently roughed in to confirm layout. The back end you see will be cut tomorrow then connected using structural screws. After that, 3/4" plywood for the deck and I can start framing walls. Should have all the walls framed tomorrow as well as the ridge beam for the roof.

If the weather stays like this, can also paint. Shouldn't paint unless the temperature is 50F and rising. Otherwise, it won't hold up.

Ironically, the only shimming I will need to do to ensure the floor is level is the upper left corner. About 1/2" will do it. Will get that from one of the ends that needs to be cut off.
