Pathetic. Fuhdres have no effing ace starter in their roster and their high price hitters can't hit for cht! If Tatis, Machado, Bogarts, and Jackson Merrill just have an all star season THE WHOLE YEAR the Padres will have a great season but it seems since these players got their 10 year contracts they have sucked... with exception of Merrill he was hurt last year but this year he will suck either because pitchers have figured him out or injuries. This team for many seasons now have sucked in clutch hitting.

They are not a good team they are posers. The late owner screwed the team with these long term contracts they can't get out. Padres can't give away Machado because of his ridiculous contract. Tatis has never been the same (obviously) since the idiot fell off his motorcycle and got busted for PEDs. Bogart was likely the biggest mistake giving him 10 years just because he had a 30+ HR season in Boston. It's a mess and to top it off the owners want to sell the team. The ownership are Dodger fans but came in with his brother (Peter Siler) in ownership with Peter being majority but he's now dead and the family doesn't want the team. They spent no money on a free agent to help this team knowing the starting rotation was in deep cht. It's going to be a long effing season and I'm glad that opening day was likely my only game I was going to invest my time in for nostalgia reasons.
