Old Man's Corners

66 F right now in our house. I am up too early. 47F outside. I just bumped the heat to 68F and that's where it will stay till the night when lowered to 66.
This Fall season has been beautiful. The chill started around 25 Sept.

😂

I may have to put on a sweatshirt next week, close my windows at night, and turn on the pilot light on my natural gas heaters to get ready for the half dozen polar vortexes that aim for Oklahoma every winter.

Still, loving the cool weather!

Went through record heat from mid-July into September. Heat index over 100°F day after day.

Halloween as a kid in my neighborhood with my friends.... fuggetaboutit! At 8 years old my mom allowed me to go alone no parent supervision around the neighborhood with my five friends and we were little terrors hiding behind cars sides of homes scaring people and making the younger ones cry.

Trick or Treat. 😂

Riding the school bus the morning after Halloween in the 1970s was a blast.

Pumpkins smashed all along Norton Road, toilet paper strung on many trees.

This morning at the truck stop a girl was trying to get a fountain drink and hold her Labrador Retriever mix female puppy (about six months old).

More than happy to hold the precious baby, but she was shaking like a leaf! Terrified.

This very adorable dog just adopted, was abused.

Held the puppy, carried her outside. Told the girl she can bring her dog to the truck stop every morning.

Have about a dozen dogs and cats people regularly bring in every now and then.

My favorite customers all have four legs. 😊

You should think of writing a book about your life or start a You Tube channel and update us here about your posts to your channel. So many interesting stories to share!
In contrast, my life has been very easy, healthy and prosperous enough even making into my 60s. 'Nothing to see here'.

I once lived near your "nothing to see here", but that's not entirely true.

You have lots of wildlife around, and if you are quiet enough, and stick to a routine walking around, some animals will begin to show themselves.

Oh, yes, wildlife is here. Bears have been spotted within 1 miles from my house and, with the habitat shrinking, whenever I open our sliding door at night to the large, dark backyard to get fresh air--like last night--I fear a hungry bear is going to break through the screen. I am not kidding: I listen to every sound in the backyard. Wife thinks I am over cautious but I had packs of coyotes howling within maybe 100 feet in our backyard.
But still... my point was your life is full of personal stories unlike mine.
