Old Man's Corners

Annual wellness check today.

- EKG good. Much to Mrs. AZ's disbelief, I do have a heart and it is beating normally
- Blood pressure 110/82
- Gained 5lbs. Going to either need to quit eating dinner an hour or so before bedtime or lay off the mini-donuts.

Other than that, for someone on the downhill side of 67, I'm in good shape.

Bloodwork should be back sometime next week.

Cologuard PLUS test ordered but let's not go into that.
Avoid the donuts 🍩 and sugar as much as possible. You'll be OK 👍.
I walk 🚶‍♂️ 4km 4xweek. I eat in moderation and Avoid sweets and sugar. If you can't give up sugar try unrefined brown sugar.

Devil's Night in Detroit back in the 80s and 90s was wild. Cruising the Eastside, watching homes and apartment buildings go up in flames. No firetrucks, they are all busy at other fires.

Agreed.

Especially since my breakfast consists of granola and whatever yogurt I pull from the fridge along with some combination of black / blue / strawberries.

And coffee.

Some interesting NFL games on the card this Sunday.
Browns @Steelers
Bears @ Seahawks
Ŕavens @ Bills
Lions @ Vikings

I envy your health!
I have yet to fully recover from that long Amtrak train trip even after 1 month and 25 days since returned home. There is no pain anywhere but in general heavy legs, lethargy and sleep pattern very disturbed. It is somewhat concerning because I have enjoyed great health all my life; except for an occasional Aleve and a tiny iron pill once a week, I take nothing.
I am not going to any doctor for it; partly because no health insurance that is affordable. From what I have gathered using online searches and friends, I had put my body through extreme stress: 5000 miles on a train in barely 6-7 days and almost no rest. I didn't eat but maybe combined 8 meals worth of food in those 10 days of train/land trip. And I walked a lot when off the train. A friend, who is very smart about medical matters, said I had put my body through enough stress to cause Ketosis and that I am lucky to have survived that trip.

Since last 5-6 days, I have started to take once a day multi-vitamins pills. I do feel I have survived the assault on my body and I think such a stress would have humbled even an 18 year body.
