Karachi was the original city of lights. A peaceful port city with all the modern amenities of its time. The video footage shows that there were street trains for mass transit. The building architecture was Victorian with massive structures built to support the running of the government.

The images show the transformation of Zaibunnisa Street, also known as Victoria Road, in Karachi, Pakistan, over time.

Early Days:
The image on the left depicts a less developed area with fewer buildings and less traffic. This image is likely from the early to mid-20th century.

The image on the right shows a bustling city street with tall buildings and heavy traffic, reflecting the city's growth and development. This image is likely from the late 20th or early 21st century.

Karachi has experienced significant population growth since 1947, expanding from around 400,000 to approximately 20 million. This growth has led to the construction of new buildings and infrastructure, transforming the landscape of the city.
