Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

So Pakistan is going to pick up where we (the US) left off? Or simply a resumption of aggression placed on hold while the region was waiting for us to leave?

How many boots is Pakistan willing to send over the border to deal with them? As noted somewhere in this thread, these people operate from caves, etc.
Nothing like the same thing

Totally different

Pakistan is simply asking Afghanistan to cooperate behave and be a good neighbor

This is an ongoing negotiation as you can see

The Americans wanted to build a jeffersonian democracy or something, remind us what it was

IK will never have let this happen. In his tenure afghan taliban could not dare attack Pakistan.

What kind of meth are you people smoking when you come up with this kind of BS ? There were 273 Taliban attacks in Pakistan in 2021 alone which started soon after they came to power and they surged by 70% in early 2022. We had a ceasefire with them in November 2021 which they broke in December 2021.

The selective amnesia of PTI followers about all the nonsense that happened in period 2018 - 2022 is a world class dillusion in its own.

Sorry, before moving on, I want to speak honestly.

I am still unsure what Pakistan can celebrate here, considering the history. Since 1979, the Pakistani government supported the Taliban, hosted them, and allowed training and weapons supply. This happened during the Cold War, when the United States was fighting the Soviet Union and was providing dollars and weapons.

Pakistan experienced a short period of strategic advantage between 1990 and 2001. Later, it was forced to take a U-turn and cooperate against the same groups it once supported. There was hope that once the U.S. left Afghanistan, the so-called “glory days” of the 1990s would return.

Now, however, Pakistan is fighting against those same groups — and people are celebrating.

If someone analyzes the situation objectively, the question is: What has Pakistan achieved from its policies since 1979, and what will it achieve now by fighting the Taliban? From a third-person perspective, it appears to be a lose-lose situation for Pakistan, both now and in the future.

Good day.
On the flip side, Indian governments took an 180 degree stance and was the only country that sat in Soviet lap, ridiculed, hated and vehemently opposed Taliban since 1979, until very recently. Now Taliban are Modi's new boyfriends.

exactly.. Americans did the same with japan they could have fought a long bloody war or the other options was to remove the fighting soul out of Japanese who prefer death over being captured .. nuclear is the only option
And while I'm in disagreement with PAKISTANFOREVER, I've also hashed out why the use of the bomb on Japan was the only logical option at the time.

What is there worth nuking in A'stan? Kabul? Kandahar? Jalalabad? After that, what?

IK will never have let this happen. In his tenure afghan taliban could not dare attack Pakistan. This is what most you blind army supporters don’t get that this exactly what the west, Israel and Indians want is for us to have a chronic war with Afghanistan and we keep fighting and killing ourselves rather than safe our energies for the real war against Indians and their handlers . Pak army is doing americas bidding and the Taliban are doing indias bidding and we are both falling for the trap. IK would have played the Islamic unity card and guess what it worked. Our fucking generals are too dumb or greedy

BIGGEST mistake IK made was saying that he is going to give all the afghans in Pakistan, Pakistanis citizenship.

You really are what your name suggests. IK was writing love letters to the Taliban after they massacred school children and had attacks throughout his tenure.

The imaginary love interest you've manufactured in your empty skull isn't real life. 😟

Don't ask me. We never had a real plan nor did we really finish anything. 20 years and trillions wasted not to mention all the lives.

Agreed. We would have never gone in had the Taliban simply given him up. Or we had taken him out prior to 9/11 when we had the opportunity. Unfortunately, then-President Clinton saw it differently.

The plan to attack and regime change in Afghanistan was going to happen anyway, just like Iraq was attacked and everyone knew Iraq had no WMDS. Taliban response regarding Osama was show us proof and trial him in neutral court and we will punish him but Usa only needed an excuse to attack and they did.

I'm in disagreement.
They are barbarians. Trust me, it's the only option. Our options will become limited after some time. We can't continue airstrikes. Our economy doesn't support long period of war.
