Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

Don't ask me. We never had a real plan nor did we really finish anything. 20 years and trillions wasted not to mention all the lives.
Well maybe that was the plan, to keep the wealth of America slushing around long wars to contractors and the military
Pakistan has and has always had actual equities in the country of Afghanistan, this is based on actual national security, and this is a classic textbook case of war is politics by other means.

The actual mistake was the 20-year war against the soviets, a mistake in the sense that by the end of that war you already had lost an entire generation, and then you had another occupation.

How are you going to reverse 50 years of believing your national identity is just to fight, someone

Shah for Iran. I support him. Let mullah in Iran burn in fire. I hope united states will finish things quickly. Several members of seal team are in Iraq. Let's see. Current Iranian regime played a key role in arming Talibans. They are Taliban sympathizers. Iranian regime always supported proxies against Pakistan. Let them fall. They will come to Pakistan to seek refugee. Don't give them an inch of our land.
Sir. This is my fault. I take a 2 week break from the forum and must have forgotten to leave your pills in an easily accessible location. Do forgive me.

A good recap however he mentions Pakistan is not at the level of Ukraine which is ridiculous.

Pakistan is pound for pound one of the strongest militaries in the world. It can take down any European country. Stupid to compare a conventional power to a nuclear power.

meaning they are no longer emphasizing a Pakistan-Afghanistan ceasefire as much as before. So, Pakistan will continue the war until the Taliban are forced to comply. Then, perhaps Pakistan will negotiate from a point of strength. Today, the TTP has also instructed 2/3

its commanders to intensify their operations in Pakistan in retaliation for the attacks in Afghanistan. If the TTP carries out major attacks in the coming days, then Pakistan's next target could be the Afghan Taliban leadership. The scenario appears extremely disastrous. 3/3

Hasn't that been pretty much the history of Afghanistan since the time of Alexander the Great?

Agreed. We would have never gone in had the Taliban simply given him up. Or we had taken him out prior to 9/11 when we had the opportunity. Unfortunately, then-President Clinton saw it differently.
no one was stopping the USA . when it wanted it picked up Gen Noriega much earlier. blaming the non action on Clinton is as wrong as blaming Pakistan for giving headsup to Osama when the American Tomahawk missiles were launched towards him. there was simply not enough time for Pakistanis (even if they wanted ) to warn him .. his time was not up and he had further use and something bigger.

Clinton did exactly what the establishment advised (restrain and not going after Osama). all presidents fall in line and do exactly what the establishment advises no matter what they say during election rally.. Obama the Nobel prize winner for his election speeches incerased troops in Iraq and Afghanistan along with much more drone strikes and ultimately gave a go ahead to take out the goat fcker in Abbotabad once the establishment told him to do so.

Taliban were a joint project of CIA, Saudis and ISI .. in order to bring order in Afghanistan due to unending war among different Afghan warlords. even before the formation of Taliban, the PM of Pakistan took these warmonger to Mecca to promise they they will accept each other and stop fighting. they promised and broke their promise the monet they got back in Afghanistan.

order they did bring in.. but then got out of hand and decided to go against their own creators. Pakistanis took the bulk of the blame and damage due to being next door neighbors and a sizable chunk of Pakistani population sharing the same ethnicity. this is why.. for Pakistan this war will never end.

They are barbarians. Trust me, it's the only option. Our options will become limited after some time. We can't continue airstrikes. Our economy doesn't support long period of war.
They are barbarians and you want to be a uranium zombie in solidarity?
