That topic however is outside the scope of this thread but doesnt absolve the army of its disastrous behavior, whether in Afghanistan or meddling in politics.

My concern is this army seems incapable of absorbing any lessons from the past.

Was it the Army who nominated Khan as a negotiator/representative of the TTP, or was it the TTP in 2014?

Would be strange of the TTP to nominate someone who they DONT deem to have their interests at heart to represent them. Not to mention, all while the TTP carried on their attacks.

Was it the Army who tried to turn the Taliban into an Ethnic movement AS WELL AS a religious one, or was it Taliban Khan, who suggested that most Pashtuns support the taliban, that they're not a religious movement, rather, a nationalist one. (Najaiz aulad of pashtuns perhaps?)

And above all else, cut the bullshit, Taliban khan was the biggest advocate for the resettlement, and it was probably his 'hug it out' perspective that lead to the resettlement of the Taliban into KP. After all, he did believe that Pashtuns loved the Taliban!

You can indeed carryon with your distraction tactics, but the fact on the ground remains that the army is the policy and decision maker , and it is then army alone which is responsible for all these jehadis , including the most beloved Taliban , and the sheer destruction these jehadis have caused in Pakistan and the region.

Its why Asim Muneer tags along everywhere with Shahbaz Sharif and why it was Muneer with whom Trump had a lunch , because the politician in Pakistan has been reduced to almost a zero.

I am all in for a good sarcasm and funny joke, but unfortunately a lot of people don't think this whole narrative is a joke, they actually believe that Afghans are some invincible people who have defeated every empire by their sheer God like powers while running across the borders for help in refugee camps when firsts bombs are drop. 1) professionalize the police force.. give them the means, compensation and training to combat crime. Terrorism is just another crime…. The police and their special units can beat.

Don’t hog the budget … other institutions need funds and investments like judiciary, crime labs , police SF etc to combat crime

2) STOP Using the police to chase PTI workers, human rights workers, TV anchors , ordinary citizens etc just because they think military sucks….it doesn’t make them criminals.

The military backed tinpot parties lost badly against Khan … get it through your thick skulls the people don’t like you. PERIOD

3) go after the groups like Jangvi and other radical Sunni groups who most likely did the attack on the Shia mosques. This an accusation Shia leaders have made.

There is tonnes more actions if he was actually serious … but he isn’t is he ?

To play devil's advocate, It was the army who prompted up Khan into power initially. So no matter what excuse is made, it all goes back to them.
