What are they expecting to hold onto there?Mostly concentrated on the ANA Commando corp I believe, Some of them joined the Taliban's "Special" Forces, I have heard the Taliban have concentrated their "best" Troops in the Panjsir valley.
It was the last region the taliban took over, NRF still Carries out occasional attacks there, It would most likely be the place a wider insurgency against the Taliban would spring up, but if there was was larger scale more concentrated push into Afghanistan I would Imagine they would shift a lot of those soldiers to the border. What are they expecting to hold onto there?
@RescueRanger you are 100% correct. Al-Jazeera has the extremist agendaAl Jazeera is Qatari propaganda outfit that hates Pakistan. They are pro Talib.
Strategy is all about timing. A flower doesn't bloom before it's time. And, time isn't without its ONE and ONLY ONE MASTER. Therefore, Sabr and Shukr enveloping a constant Mujadele with Iman and Ihlas....I think things should have been clear as far back as 2022 when Taliban on the border were trying to remove border fencing and firing on engineering teams
I like this idea and believe it's worth at least exploring the benefits of.Pakistan should engage with Wakhis in Wakhan. Arm them and create a paramilitary force exclusively of them, operating for Pakistan in Wakhan. The ones who join should be given citizenship. I think they’ll have a more positive attitude towards Pakistan since a lot of Wakhis live in Pakistan and they’ve been neglected for decades in Afghanistan. Pakistan can annex Wakhan without even having to send any soldiers there.
Also, Afghan Hazaras who don’t hold any animosity towards Pakistan could be given Pakistani citizenship in exchange for fighting for Pakistan. People willing to join should have complete background checks done on them to make sure they aren’t hostile to Pakistan. Pakistan sets up an exclusively Afghan Hazara unit under FC command. They fight for Pakistan while their family gets to flee Afghanistan and live in safety in Pakistan.
It won’t be like ANA since these units could be official paramilitary forces under the direct control of Pakistan and their families live in Pakistan.
Once we have ended this operation on our terms comfortably, the Turks can mediate the aftermath, in the mean time Pakistan is doing just fine and cannot afford to be thrown off track by false guarantees and shaky truces.Turkiye will contribute to re-establishment of Pak-Afghan ceasefire, Erdogan tells PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in which the latter said Turkiye would “contribute to the re-establishment of the ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan”.
Wahkhan is unreachable terrain, it totally closed in winter season. Need billions of dollar to setup the direct route to central asia. Not worth it. May be only China has money to built the highway, and they don t need it .Pakistan should engage with Wakhis in Wakhan. Turkey, Saudia and Qatar are totally against this operation.Once we have ended this operation on our terms comfortably, the Turks can mediate the aftermath, in the mean time Pakistan is doing just fine and cannot afford to be thrown off track by false guarantees and shaky truces.
Let the military secure our position, the time for talking ended at least 3 years ago.
Doesn't matter, it's going ahead regardless and doesn't matter to them much anyway.Turkey, Saudia and Qatar are totally against this operation.
Makes no sense, one thing Pakistan has no lack of is manpower, there are Pakistani Hazaras already serving in the armed forces.Pakistan should engage with Wakhis in Wakhan. Arm them and create a paramilitary force exclusively of them, operating for Pakistan in Wakhan. The ones who join should be given citizenship.
