Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

All that talk about hard state and military operations meanwhile they are radio silent after today's suicide bombing. It's just pathetic.

No explanation or reasoning after all that tough talk and have completely lost all the momentum, once again on the back foot looking weak.

BLA/TTP leaders may be targets of opportunity but that does not look to be the entire goal. Pakistan is interested in degrading the military and logistical capabilities of the Taliban to retard the conduct and support of terrorism inside of Pakistan.

Eliminating leaders in hydra-headed organizations causes limited disruptions as they quickly assign new leaders. This is not to say that Pakistan will not take on the leaders if found.

I see the Taliban military degradation as a short-medium term approach. For long-term, maybe those in the know are wondering if a weakened Taliban can be dealt with more easily than a new set up. Coming days will tell more.
That's just cope, taking out leaders is how the Israelis degraded Hezbollah and how Americans turned AQ into a tiny shadow of itself.

Whenever you are taking out a commander you are taking out experience if he is gone he is going to replaced by a guy with less experience, now imagine that guy keeps getting taken out who will be left by the end?

Not just experience but it massively effects the morale and fighting motivation for militant groups especially.

Truth is, that Pakistan briefly showed initiative and momentum in the initial weeks of March but now it looks like a cornered punching bag again.

Its strategic thinkers in power corridors are hesitant, indecisive, and fearful. They can't think aggressively or outside of the box utilising all tools at their disposal.

The Taliban with a 1000x less resources shows more initiative and decisiveness than them, its pathetic for Pakistan that flexes being a regional power.

Frankly I don't understand the fixation on what will international media say, the rehab center is already old news in the world when news moves at lighting pace.

Also frankly what al Jazeera says isn't going to stop the terrorist attacks.

Unforunately for one reason or another, we lost the amazing momentum we had built up.

Maybe it was due to the Iran ceasefire talks in Islamabad, maybe it was due to backlash from the Kabul drug addict strike (pathetic, if true), maybe it was due to pressure from "allies" and other actors?

We were doing well. We could have continued to escalate. Talks with these scum are never in good faith.

It was mainly due to Social Media pressure and this pathetic government folded like little cowards. Not only this, they are talking to these terrorists again in China while these terrorists still continue to kill Pakistan civilians via bomb blasts.

A suicide car bomb attack at the Domel Police Station in Bannu killed at least five civilians, while 13 others were injured, including one policeman.

Among the deceased are a husband, wife, daughter, and son from the same family.
The explosion occurred when an explosives-laden vehicle rammed into the rear side of the police station, triggering a massive blast followed by an exchange of gunfire.

Suicide attacks are still happening and now what will be the govt. response? More talks and nothing of value. We are stuck in a vicious cycle of violence and we couldn't even took out HVT's during the war. The TTP and other terrorists will regroup now and resume with their usual terror attacks.

Results of "brotherly muslim" mantra

Dr. Naqeeb, along with his two sons and one daughter, has embraced martyrdom in this attack.

this has to be responded with wrath that these idiots didnt expect.
Any attacks on any civil or military structure e.g. police station should be met with 5 similar places razed in Afghanistan.
as simple as that.
Do it a few times and see how they would succumb. This horse needs to be broken down and there is no other way.

The goal I thought was to eliminate and punish terrorists and not to permanently occupy afghan territory.

We cannot have 3000 people killed every time to start an operation and that too just to capture few kilometers of afghanistan?

Masha ALLAH to Pakistani people if they believe any guarantee from afghans (written or verbal).
Every time Afghans lose territory (punishment), they'll think ten times before doing panga with Pakistan again.

We are their neighbours and not some invaders from thousands of kilometres away. Any territory that we grab, is going to stay with us for good.

Has anyone announced the end of Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq?

It seems many just want to see airstrikes happening on Afghanistan non-stop and that will somehow bring about the Happily Ever After time.

War is not some war movie with action scenes every five minutes.

oh bhai kill a single top commander and then talk like this
