This is a fair question and I understand the sentiment behind it, in 2025 Pakistan conducted 78,000 IBOs that equates to 206 IBOs on a daily basis. Based on available public reporting the daily average for IBOs in 2026 is between 100-130.

This is a remarkable number of operations, not all make headlines since most activities are covert in nature, hopefully ISPR can provide detailed breakdown of activities and major gains for 2026 at a later date.

Counter-Terrorism is a concerted effort involving every branch of government, public sector organizations and civilians - the major complaint I have is the lack of buy-in and awareness of security operations for the public (the most vulnerable and often the first to be impacted by security incidents).

This practice whilst understandable to maintain operational security and integrity create a vacuum of information that is then filled by misinformation peddlers and half-truths laced with dubious statistics and claims to support a twisted narrative.

NACTA is really missing a trick here, there should be a website tracking incidents and results of major IBOs and their outcomes / impact - this openness creates transparency and will generate greater level of trust and provide a one-stop solution to reassure the concerned public Aswell as a counter to weaponized misinformation.

IBOs are for the internal terrorists, cool. Good thing. But these drones are originating from Afghanistan and are killing our soldiers and civilians. The only difference is that nobody above the rank of a captain died in these drones attack yet. But this doesn't mean people are not getting killed. So what are we doing to deal with the terrorists that are residing in Afghanistan and are continuously sending quadcopter drones laden with mortars and these other drones ?

Which country on Earth sits quietly as it is hit by drone strikes and threatened, while pretending nothing is happening? Its digging your head in the sand to act tough in an echo chamber.

To the world and their citizens, they have made Pakistan look like shameless fools, in their mind they think they are the next Romans or Ottomans with such great wisdom no one can understand.

Just wanted to reply on this.

When I was a kid. We used to experience a lot of loadshedding. Like 2 hours of electricity then no electricity for 4 hours. I think this was the period between 2005-2010. So we used to say that Pakistan is making "Baap of atomb bomb" in secret but it needs a lot of energy to produce. So that's why they cut electricity and lie to people that it's due to faults and lack of electricity production so that CIA did not get a clue of our latest weapon project. So just bare with it because when this Baap of atomb bomb is created, Pakistan will become a super power.

So even then we were thinking they are doing something that we can not know or grasp. And even today when I am a 33 years old guy, I am still expected to think like the way I used to think when I was a kid 20 years ago.

You gave a veritable sermon about "narratives" yet instantly contradicted yourself by posting a snippet "headline grabbing" clickbait infographic is a perfect example of statistics revealing the suggestive but concealing the truth.

The source for this info graphic is the Global Terrorism Index of 2026 (Which I might add is based on the data from 2025 - since data is not yet compiled for 2026 as we are in JULY)...

Furthermore, the ranking is skewed. The reasons are as follows from their OWN report:

The reason Pakistan makes it to the top of the list is how they rank terrorism impact.

The problem with this argument is that Taliban are not barking rather biting. If they were issuing threats on daily basis or doing speeches against Pakistan this argumnet would have been valid. But they are directly sending Target Killers, Sucide Bombers & Now armed drones. "Closing your eyes like a pigeon won't make the attacking Cat disappear". Reality is that we have failed to establish a credible deterrence againt them infact dare i say they have established one against us to keep intensity of airstrike in Afg low or risk Sucide bombing in Main Cities. These drones are only going to get accurate & seeing their sucess someone might start giving them FPV if not already. Now imagine FPVs being launched near PAF Airbases hunting Assets...

The militants come through the 2640km of Pak/Afghan border, the area is extremely rugged mountains, much of the border runs through high mountain ranges, deep valleys, and remote areas with very few roads, they have 1000s of ways to enter and leave, they come do the attacks and either run or get killed.

We will need billions for surveillance using drones, cameras, and sensors, effective law enforcement.
