Peshawar was never considered "watan" by any pashtoon. They may say Pakistan is their watan or may say Afghanistan is their watan. But nobody call peshawar watan. Watan is a country, peshawar is a city.

No need to get personal. You are talking about the urdu translation of the word watan however in different context, it can be applied to your hometown as well. In pashto, you could say "Zma watan Peshawar day"

However, the person I was referring to is strictly referring to Peshawar as his watan, as the rest of the country doesnt belong to him or it doesnt matter.

the people have voted in a party 3 times that wants to make out with TTP .. calls them brothers and managed to settle them in swat... is against military operations and wants peace so that its brothers can regrand launch attacks so that this party mocks the dead and reposts the indian troll posts on social media..

you know why. TTP is not defeated and never attacked thus party? because it uses its support.. who do you think is housing the ttp terrorists before they launch an attack on an airbase? .. TTP has deep roots support in our pashton population specially and rest of the ethincities ..

Take public support from BLA and TTP, and they will fall within 3-6 months, there is a reason why majority of the civilized world has moved on, even countries like Iraq/Syria which were once epicenter of global terrorism and civil war are now looking towards rebuilding their country but in our KPK/Baluchistan, these people are still living in cut throat and khud kuss bombing era, and unfortunately people don't want to change that because that's their Riwayaat and saqafat.
