Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

Afghan govt claims a lot of things, do we need to believe everything?

So what? The afghandus have murdered 80,000 innocent Pakistanis in cold blood through terrorism. I don't see anyone complaining about that. So EVEN if true, 400 dead afghandus means NOTHING.

Its run by Jeremy Scahill, and Ryan Grim. None of whom are failed journalists by any metric, both of whom have done award winning work.

Their permanent staff include a critical mass of highly respected, and accomplished investigative journalists.

On what basis would you call a staff of senior Intercept journalists: someone like scahill who did major disclosures of Abu Ghraib, the snowden leaks, blackwater, or someone like grim who has nearly won a pulitzer prize as uncredible failures?

Can you conversely share an example of more successful journalism? The bar would be the aforementioned examples.
I’m not disputing Scahill and Grim’s past work itself. My point is about Drop Site as an outlet and how it's run.

It’s a very new platform with a small editorial structure and a openly stated explicit adversarial, anti-establishment framing. That often means reporting being driven by a strong narrative lens rather than purely neutral journalism.

Many contributors also come from activist or political backgrounds, which influences source selection and framing. Combined with anonymous or hard-to-verify sources (especially in places like Pakistan) it makes their reporting harder to independently verify, and difficult to filter out the biased noise.

So it’s not that they’re all ‘failed journalists’ - it’s that the outlet’s structure and approach introduce a level of narrative and sourcing bias that warrants caution.

You should be anti-establishment critics where it's warranted, but not simply for the sake of contrarianism which I find many writers on Drop Site engage in. This is why more established outlets remain a better source.

Is he saying this on his own accord or has he been told to say this?

It seems they are trying to work towards a ceasefire in the background and don't have an intention of continuing the fighting - could be linked to Iran-US peace talks in Islamabad as well.

One major reason Pakistan's narrative on Afghanistan never sticks is because of how they constantly flip flop between narratives of "brothers" to "enemies", "regime" to "government".

These cunts need to stick to one narrative and one policy instead of frying the public's brain with their BS and then complaining after.

Everyone knows the Afghan nationalist problem is inherent and they will never be a trustworthy neighbour, so back tracking every time expecting things to be different is pure idiocy and will certainly bring you back to square 1.

There should be no "brothers" on the basis of religion. This is complete and utter b.s. that has allowed Qatar to run rings around us and offers a constant oxygen source to the despots in Kabul.

What is this bizarre business model of Qatar's anyway? Neutrality means you should shut up and mind your business. Did Switzerland run around trying to force peace between Germany and the Allies?

The fault is ours. We take 5 steps forward and then 10 steps backwards.

This idea of "brothers" is what will rot & collapse us out from within, it's not going to be India, it's going to be your "brothers", especially the Afghandu ones.

Write this down.

Emerging Threats from Afghan Soil — A Clear Lesson for Their Supporters in Pakistan ‼️

A video is circulating on social media platforms from certain accounts run under the patronage of the Afghan Taliban, in which an Afghan child can be seen openly threatening a suicide attack against Pakistan.

This is not the first instance of such videos surfacing. Previously as well, multiple videos have come into the public eye in which Afghan elements have openly issued threats against Pakistan.

An Afghan openly threatens a suicide attack on Pakistan, yet no particular attention is paid by the Afghan Taliban.

The lamentable fact is that a few mischief-mongering elements in Pakistan call these people brothers.

Brotherhood is always based on mutual respect, peace, and well-being, not on threats, suicide attacks, and slogans of bloodshed.

When one party openly expresses aggression and the other ignores it while presenting a romantic notion of relations, this is a deviation from the demands of national security.

It is necessary to look at ground realities instead of emotional slogans.

It may be noted that previously, the Afghan Taliban leader Hamid Khorasani has also stated that they have regular squads of suicide attackers, which can be used for operations at any time.

The threatening videos and statements issued by Afghans make it clear that certain elements pose a longstanding danger to Pakistan.

When will USA stop payments to Taliban?

"40 million dollars per week payment"..

I was under the impression that such payments were no longer forthcoming from the current US administration.

If true that they are continuing, then we are dealing with racketeering on our western border, as well as drug running, corruption, and terrorism. In many ways, Taliban are an ultraviolent mafia enterprise and perhaps we should brand them in such terms, such that there is no ambiguity or faux concern from certain quarters of society when we bomb these "brotherly folk". When Mexican drug bosses show their faces in churches all suited and booted, how is it any different from the faux religious shield behind which Talibs hide?

Any TTP and BLA top tier leadership we have liquidated in this operation?
