Yes, thats my point, should have done some home work.
Ofcourse, markhoor is our national animal. What I am saying, there are other considerations as well , the use of Ram by secret societies, the death itself will come as Ram and be slaughtered when its all done and dusted.

Very interesting background. It's just coincidence though that they look similar, and they should look similar for taxonomic reasons.

Markhoor is a proud symbol of Pakistan and a most noble creature. We should not change it purely because of biblical issues with goats.

Numerous animals hold different connotations based on cultural and variation.

E.g. an owl is regarded as stupid in Pakistan but wise in the Anglo-American world.

There is spiritual angle to it. It's believed that ibless appear in the shape of ram headed individual in physical realm. Death itself will be presented as Ram when judgement is all done and slaughtered, signifying the immortality either in heaven or hell.

Who said the idea was to liquidate the leadership?

What if our calculation is that a weakened Taliban is better than a whole another setup? Lots of things to think about.

100%, they have become even more vocal about it since the conflict began.
For Afghan Pashtun nationalists only Pashtuns can use the term 'Afghan' everyone else needs to go back to Tajikistan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan etc.

The Markhor idiocy (being attributed to the ISI) is just like the idiotic "Black Storks" monicker used for the SSG by some in our misinformed fan base. Who in their right minds would refer to their elite forces as a frog-eating, ugly bird? :-)

Interesting, so in your opinion we are not going after the brains of TTP/BLA, the actual perpetrators of terrorism in Pakistan? I actually didnt mention TTA, my specific query was about TTP/BLA. I think you misunderstood.

Good work. There are better stress positions though. I was once told by someone in the 90s that there is a stress position in the Pakistani military called "The Indian" and officers would bark at the rank and file to "get down to Indian!" as a punitive measure.

It is more or less a plank position but using one's forehead, with no arms/hands allowed at all!
 
Does anyone have any knowledge on why the airstrikes were brought to a halt?
