Iranian officials referred to Ahmad Massoud of the National Resistance Front and Mohammad Mohaqeq of Hizb-e-Wahdat as members of the "Supreme Council of Afghanistan Resistance."

During the funeral of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the anti-Taliban delegation was formally introduced as Ahmad Massoud and Mohammad Mohaqeq, members of the "Supreme Council of Afghanistan Resistance."

Notably, Iran accorded the same state protocol to Ahmad Massoud and Mohammad Mohaqeq as it did to the Taliban delegation, which included Abdul Ghani Baradar and Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.

We don't want headlines either but when we don't make these scoundrels cry mama , such attacks will become headlines as it will raise a question mark on our capabilities and will. Also instead of trying to always find these cockroaches inside Afghanistan caves, destroy the Talib posts and fighters that are aiding them in broad daylight, only such pain will make them back off. Empower the local FC commanders to push the escalation instead of reigning them, make them fear us.....

Contrary to popular sentiment in Pakistan, US has always been Pakistan's most trusted and effective ally in our war against home grown insurgency and terrorism. They are the ones who were indirectly aiding 7Div in NW with their consistent drone campaign from 2010 till 2014 when finally we got around to clearing that hell hole. Before that, our troops were at the mercy of daily IEDs and ambushes. The only respite was when an American drone would take out a local commander.

All our major terrorist targets have been taken out by the US. It's unfortunate we couldn't see eye-to-eye on Afghanistan's political solution, but no one should deny US assistance. The only way forward to take out our most wanted terrorists in Afghanistan, is by getting intelligence assistance from the US, since our own intel community is so incompetent that we can't even locate a mid-level commander in Afghanistan, after having 50 years of footprint in that country.

They are also the reason for this entire BS happening in Pakistan. Why do they left highly sophisticated weapons to taliban??? Most armies in the region doesn't have access to such high tech small arms.

I bet they left it on purpose. Imran regime was high on talibund hashish. Especially Imran Khan couldn't control his happiness seeing his brothers taking control of Afghanistan once again. For him Taliban have defeated super power. His low IQ brain cannot process what is winning or losing.

However Pakistan had hoped the Afghans would at least have some sense that would mean we could move forward, trade and live in peace etc

Pakistani feudal elites are simply colonial leftovers and their mentality is only designed to exploit common people. This is why they are being outmaneuvered by tribal Afghans, who may be poor, but are more committed to their country and competent, as well as Indians.

Your elites dont care what happens outside their feudal estates, both the politicians, and the military which runs a parallel world and businesses.

They simply are not equipped to handle the modern competent geopolitical environment.
