The substantial funds obtained from this illicit trade are funneled to various terrorist groups, particularly Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, which use it for terrorism, armed operations, and the spread of extremist ideology.

We need to bring this conflict to some sort of conclusion. Keeping the border closed indefinitely may apply pressure, but it is not a strategy or a permanent solution.

Pakistan must establish a clear end state: either decisively dismantle the hostile elements operating against us or compel Kabul to rein them in and accept enforceable terms. One way or another, the threat must be neutralised. Simply managing the crisis forever is no longer enough.

We're beyond this though.

The evidence is laid bare that Kabulites regard Pakistani sovereign territory as theirs.

I would suggest, in addition to all of the above regarding removing active threats to Pakistani interests from Afghan land, Kabul (whoever is in charge) must acquiesce to that which was established at the end of the British colonial era. Their indoctrination of "pashtunistan" needs to halt and be rolled back, such that both nations can live with ground realities. If they keep teaching their children this neonazi ethnic supremacist claptrap, then there is no benefit to be derived from peaceable interaction.

Fundamentally, they loathe Pakistan because of a baseless and envy driven civilisational arrogance. Much like the pathetic behaviour we see to our east. For the British, Afghans were ready to hand over their wives in continued servitude to protect their feudal ways. But when Pakistanis evolved and acquired a nation through virtuous toil and the deployment of intellectual means, the Afghans became envious and acrimonious.

There is much more that needs to change beyond just the destruction of the terrorist threat.

I do think it can be done though.

Agree but on one point.

India cannot discard them. They have burned their bridges with Massoudists permanently now. By supporting talibs universally (including in cultural, civilisational, and sporting spheres), they have harmed Afghans, particularly Afghan females, beyond recourse.

India will need to re-use the same toilet paper repeatedly.

Being an Indian is literally used as an insult in the Afghan society. If they have to insult someone from Pakistan as an inferior being, they'll use the word Indian.

Indians can keep masturbating to the thought that Afghans are their allies, but its nothing more than a temporary marriage.

Looking forward to see Afghans backstabbing them for the next bidder, as no amount of Indian money can revert the civilizational hatred for Indian jungle dwellers in Afghanistan.

I think Pakistani state needs to acknowledge partially that this is going to be a multi-decade war and not a single operation done-and-won. It took Turks decades of relentless opposition to Kurdish separatism to control it.

Its really just about how adamantly nationalist and motivated you are but you can't solve it in a night, its a battle of morale and slow degredation in every aspect.

It will take massive balls to be aggressive at times but also intelligence to try various methods. Probably biggest test for Pakistani state.

Not like what is in Afghanistan is Sharia from the Quran - its basically a Frankenstein of tribal culture with quran used as ribbons to tie it all together.

No different to what many Jews did with the Torah and Talmud... they used it to justify Gaza - the Taliban use it to ban girls education. Admirers of the Taliban for both extremist and ethnic reasons will still lap it up like man o salwa.

Precisely my point - there can never be a "correct" implementation of it because there is no standardized correct definition of correct interpretation. As Muslims, we can't all agree on the precise interpretation of our faith, look at how many "different schools" of thought there are in interpretation and implementation of Islam. That is why I don't see Sharia as the basis for government governance.

Precisely my point - there can never be a "correct" implementation of it because there is no standardized correct definition of correct interpretation. As Muslims, we can't all agree on the precise interpretation of our faith, look at how many "different schools" of thought there are in interpretation and implementation of Islam. That is why I don't see Sharia as the basis for government governance.

This becomes a separate topic BUT there is a common base for Sharia - then there is additions and subtractions based on either actual logic(and all madhabs have valid reasons) or then there is cultism...
