Afghanistan is a fragmented hellhole, no one entity has ever governed it fully, it is always different groups acting on different areas, even Talibs need a different faction of theirs on ground, they don't control everything from Kabul. Even if some districts fall it won't be a complete wipe off of Talibs, then they will become the warring party instead of the government. We must ensure our interests are secured, and make the Talibs behave, by repeatedly spanking them when needed.

Now - what is likely to happen?
