Pakistan carried out “well-planned and calibrated” air strikes against terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan, the information ministry said on Thursday.

In a post on X, the ministry said the strikes were carried out in continuation of Operation Ghazab lil Haq and Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorists, their networks and supporters.

It said the aerial strikes targeted the hideouts and safe havens of terrorist organisations it referred to as Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan, and resulted in the deaths of “multiple terrorists”.

The state uses the term Fitna al Khawarij for the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and refers to designated Balochistan-based groups as Fitna al Hindustan to highlight India’s role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.

The statement added, “Based on credible intelligence, selective targeting of terrorist camps and hideouts at two locations belonging to Fitna al Khawarij, Fitna al Hindustan and their affiliates has been carried out in Afghanistan with precision and accuracy.”

The ministry said the targets were destroyed, with initial reports suggesting that 22 terrorists had been killed.

“Large quantities of weapons and ammunition stored at these hideouts were also destroyed,” it said.

The ministry added that Pakistan had always stressed regional peace and stability, but held that the safety of Pakistani citizens remained the “foremost priority”.

The statement expressed concern that Afghanistan “continues to remain a hub of terrorism. The threat to Pakistan emanates from Afghanistan”, adding that, keeping in view the fact, the strikes had targeted terrorist hubs and “maximum precaution” was taken to ensure “no collateral damage”.

It added that Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign Ghazab lil Haq will continue at “full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country”.

Islamabad has repeatedly urged the Taliban administration in Kabul to dismantle terrorist sanctuaries on Afghan soil, particularly those linked to the banned TTP, that are used for attacks in Pakistan. Officials say those appeals have gone unheeded.

According to a UN Security Council-mandated monitoring report — covering the period from Dec 16, 2025, to June 9, 2026 — Afghan Taliban’s continued support for TTP has contributed to a rise in the frequency and lethality of terrorist attacks in Pakistan, even as Kabul has taken some initial steps to rein in the group.

The report also pointed to growing operational and facilitation linkages among the TTP, Al Qaeda, Islamic State-Khorasan (ISIL-K) and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).

poor afghandu, crying victim and doing propaganda. where is your ghairat izzat? Why not respond Pakistan on border? kassi much? Only good at some suicide bombing on civilians? At least send some token drones.

Helmand is BLA HQ. It needs to be bombed hourly.

They should have used cluster bombs on these mfkers.

Couldn't find Helmand target. But Kunar target is in chogam, which if you look around on the internet have been targeted before for TTP presence.

Project Pincer Slice
Strategic Overview

It is a just imagination don't take it serious. A multi-axis operational plan to counter border militancy using a breakthrough via the Spin Boldak-Chaman corridor. The strategy relies on asymmetric geometric movement to cut off mountain strongholds and secure peripheral frontiers. 👇

Phase I The Northern Thrust

• Force: 2 Heavy Mechanized/Armored Divisions.
• Maneuver: Rapid entry via Spin Boldak, rolling aggressively in horizontal rows northward along the flat plains.
• Effect: Bypasses rugged terrain, severs lateral logistics, and isolates hostile elements in high-altitude zones.

Phase II The Horizontal Pincer

• Maneuver: Due to terrain limits, border-deployed forces advance westward column-by-column rather than using heavy armor.
• Support: Heavily reinforced by intensive air strikes and precision artillery barrages.
• Dynamic: The vertical northern rows and horizontal western columns compress the pocket into tiny, untenable slices to neutralize the threat.

Phase III --?

I think, This is the first time strikes have been carried out in response to attack on customs checkpost. Previously, strikes usually followed the martyrdom of army officers. Has Pakistan changed its strategy?

Looks like they're following the Turkish SOP: take no $hit from anyone; and, shoot first and think later; and, there's no Adalet/Merhamet/Affet for Ihanet, only Infaz (even if it's own son, daughter, brother, father, uncle etc.)....

Lol, - what are you talking about?
You had multiple assassination attempts at various US presidents in the last 60 years. School shootings happen every other quarter - do you remember Jan 6th?....What is that if not reflective of culture?

You think the purge is just some hollywood joke?
Read about what happened during Katrina -

But then also read about how many went to help, the philathrophy and so on.

All peoples have good and bad qualities and aspects within the culture.
Or were the Arabs some heaven sent that Allah chose them to send his best?

There are aspects of culture - and there are aspects of rule of law and education which slowly remove negative aspects.

When there isnt a state to help provide law & order ALONG WITH education OVER A SUSTAINED PERIOD OF TIME - you will not change a people. The British did not do it -

Look at every story of destruction in the Quran and these patterns will emerge - either the culture had normalized a vice the leadership would not restrain, or the leadership itself was the vice, or both.

Hazrat Lut the people had normalized Sodomy AND the leadership refused to act against it... in ways the tribal areas and into Afghanistan have done so - many other Parts of Pakistan have it too..

With Hazrat Shoaib it was also both - the people had normalized fraud and corruption with the leadership protecting this system..

But why is it that with our Prophet Allah did not (well he did actually offer it for Taif) send destruction? Because he also wanted to show you change.

The Arabs did exactly what you bemoan - they shrugged at brutality, buried daughters, protected their own ways and threatened those who asked them to change.

Because Allah wanted to show you how change happens -
It happened because a just order of governance was imposed in Madina - law and education was sustained long enough that the same society was pulled off what it once normalized.

When you have never offered people a just state or education - then what right do you have to post or tweet about it from Colorado?
After all, the reason why PTI was so attractive was because so many finally saw the promise of the state that helped shape a better society... that NEVER happened for reasons ranging from leadership and so on... but then who else is doing any better or worse?

So before you rant about Tribals or Pashtuns... check your own DHA's and metropolis where you have so called traffic camera's but cannot guarantee justice if a Brigadier's teenage son without a license runs over someone who works a 18 hour shift... before you talk about people to whom you havent really bothered to deliver any form of governance to.
Don't wanna go back and forth, as my position is clear on the situation in KPK/Baluchistan, you can't start cutting throats and send your kids to blow things up just because a Govt is corrupt, Afghans/Pushtoons are mainly responsible for what they are getting and doing, they helped AQ and got bombed, ANA give shelter to TTP/BLA after they left Taliban comes back into power with overwhelming majority support and now they are back to the same shyte. KPKians are only supporting this fighting because they find some connection with tribalism which itself is worse cancer for Pakistan than corruption, and others are just under the impression of Shariah law BS.

we don't have to use Prophet's and their nations as example, there is a fundamental law of nature, you just don't go out and start killing people, i don't need Islam to teach me that, even in jungle there is a rule/law but in KPK/Afghanistan its just tribalism that treat other races as trash, women even worse. you can scratch the surface and say its partly due to corruption but we can see how KPK has slowly but steadily decesent into barbarism, after 2000's. And the people just refuse to change, you really think if Imran khan was a leader that has deliver on his promises than suddenly the cut throats will become human rights activists?

Lets be real KPKians and Baluchistan are taking money from countries like India, certain group sell all kind of BS to people and the people who's IQ's are even lower than Indian Bhakts they start killing their own people, remember despite divine decree we are responsibile for our actions, that TTP suicide bomber or that BLA fighter has a choice to not kill or execute a poor labor that go to Baluchistan for work, he chooses to do so based on his understanding of things, his racial supremacy and religious affiliations, I hate when people try to excuse for the people who have no concept of taking accountability, I am still yet to see one just one leader from KPK who would come out and say that, we in Pushtoon culture have a problem so lets do something to make it things right, they don't have to lock horns with establishment but even on small ground level, when was last time you see Tribals or KPKians protests when TTP bombed and destroy 100's of schools? that society is rotten to the core, and no its not Gareebi, or corruption, its the refusal to change with time, If Islam couldn't help these people nothing else can, its a violence that will last for as long people don't take accountibility.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH was successful because the people he was preaching although in Jahiliyah but they have a strong sense of accountability within themselves, from Abu Bakr RA to a commoner, several narrations exists where society has changed for better, take accountibility and fix itself for better. Remember that he was also dealing with barefoot bedoins as well, Tribals... but change comes from within, he (Muhammad SAW) only show them a way.
