I was listening to a podcast where Max Blumenthal of the Grayzone pointed out the same. In his opinion - Putin will try to be the peacemaker in this issue because of the Russian Zionists.

But - Israel already have tried to drag Russia in the war to get US involved by bombing close to a Russian base in Syria, where a Russian ammo depot was damaged. If Israel keeps that up - Putin will have no choice but to choose a side.

Luckily for Israel, the dollar generals take orders from Saudi Arabia which is more than happy for Iran to be bombed. Saudi had threatened to raise oil prices anyway, because their economy is a complete basket case otherwise, and this confrontation will help them.

Israel has Western tech with precise missiles. The target was an arms depot holding Iranian weapons and Iranian soldiers. No Russians were killed.

In any case, countries don't go to war over a couple of deaths. Turkey downed a Russian jet over Syria and the pilot was killed (not by Turks but by other militia) and Russia didn't declare war on Turkey.
