new shahpar III vid but its just taxing again , so dont get too exited

There was some pictures posted some time back showing Chinese companies preparing the shell of these, these for a "large" customer, which looks like it may have been Pakistan. Question is how much of this is local to Pakistan, or did Pakistan buy them off the shelf from China.

As per design it looks like ABM or anti aircraft surface launch missile.
Using an air breathing ramjet engine? That would be a very poor design choice, especially for an ABM system.

@Fatman17 why did you merge Fatah 3 thread? That is not ordinary missile, its a new toy in Pakistan missile inventory. Direct counterpart of Brahmos and you merge the thread with useless fatah rockets.

New news new thread is a rule all over the world. Otherwise you burry the news in these useless mega threads.

many reasons. I heard that the Beidu signal is stronger than GPS, and it cannot be cluttered by the adversary. However, there can be a political reason, like China also wants Hormuz to be opened sooner, and let's assume Iran likes to pursue an attack, and so forth. Just like a 'kill' switch.
Nonetheless, we need a link/communications satellite for our drones (all types) and CMs.
I also hope that we can get some tech to spoof Brahmos salvos efficiently or precise info (ground+space) to kill it at its nest.
These weapon systems have redundancies. Such as INS and terminal guidance.
Don't think these are designed to rely on one guidance system only

So if India can buy the Oniks and rebrand it Brahmos

Why can't we buy HD1 with TOT and then make it in Pakistan as Fatah 3????

Have you bought it with TOT. Do you own IP rights for this missile?

Where js the deal, when was it signed?

Does not make sense unless you believe you can make these missiles cheaper than the Chinese.

It seems like the regular old buying off the shelf ,repainting, renaming job.

Rather like how you repaint and rename the Yahkont or the SA6.

1) Highly likely, also who gives a shit about IP rights considering there is no intention of exporting it.

2) why would they show it to you? Also in the last year.

3) can India make brahmos cheaper then the Russians?

4) Guess who did that with a missile that's definitely not a Yakhont

Yes to everything

If it was just a purchase we would have called it by the original name, no different to the CM400 or J10 etc

No different to the Russian Oniks or Yakhont or whatever the name was which India passes off as Brahmos.
When it has a name change like Fatah 3 then Pakistan will take ownership of the weapon with possible ToT, so we can develop or take it down our own route

It's the exact same thing, but your Hindu ass seems to be on fire if we do it

Pakistan simply cannot fund every program, cutting corners sometimes is vital for to fulfill defence needs.

In the future with both China and Turkey as vital allies you will see multiple weapons systems and programs and collaborations
