I dont think scalp is any special then Raad. I know that Britain and France before storm shadow had no proper / actual ALCM and the guidance system is identical to Raad 2. Give me reason to believe its better. With respect I mean it. There is nothing so different in raad 2 then storm shadow. stealth features are available on both, both have terrain hugging and great range.
HAAS is just mediocre in accuracy..the swiss machines like Tornons are way better in accuracy..there is the italian brand ENCO(my personal fav) then you have the DOOSANs (a lil less expensive depending on the variant) and the very capable HELLER and DMG MORIS which are very expensive..as a matter of fact yall know DOLLAR(the pen making company) they have DMG MORIS at their factory..We've totally gone off the rails here so wth lol
Reminds me of that joke question asked to us in our workshop class "the first lathe was made by a lathe but who made that lathe"
On a serious note I think puttputt is referring to 5 axis cnc centers used for complicated parts like microjet stages or turbine blade casts. Haas makes nice cncs in the US and have a formula 1 team too! There are a few machines at PAC that nobody can use. Of course no pvt sector company could've smuggled that in. Anyway, im just ranting.
BAFA is tougher than any American export control though.HAAS is just mediocre in accuracy..the swiss machines like Tornons are way better in accuracy..there is the italian brand ENCO(my personal fav) then you have the DOOSANs (a lil less expensive depending on the variant) and the very capable HELLER and DMG MORIS which are very expensive..as a matter of fact yall know DOLLAR(the pen making company) they have DMG MORIS at their factory..
Sadly true, But slowly China has been upping the game in machinery and there are still a lot precision machine makers in Japan , korea and the US...BAFA is tougher than any American export control though.
Understood. I think its not that Pakistan or any other non western country cant design systems on par with them. Its matter of interest. The access to technology now is easy. If you have finances you can buy research papers with technologies that are yet to be integrated. Future is about data access control and mass production of systems. last time I took storm shadow like systems seriously was before 2019. Then I realized the potential of soft kill and realized it lacks it completely and was prone EW attacks. Raad 2 has specialized in some ways of protection against EW attacks.Only thing is UK/FR introduced Storm Shadow/SCALP early on. now everyone else's pace of tech is catching up faster then it used to in the past.
In 5-10 years European military tech will lag far behind US and China.
It will work subsonics will punch through the Indian AD mark my wordsLet me tell you reality. Pakistan was sleeping when India was making brahmos. Pakistan never expected brahmos attack on airbases. Now we wake up but still continue to spend money on stuff that might not work in war. I have no idea why they are improving raad. I am sure India will rain brahmos in next conflict and we might lose whole eastern coverage.
Ok. Let's hear it from you. If it wasn't scalp, what was it ?I disagree. This is not scalp. Second, we can't penetrate Indian air defence with subsonic missiles. These systems are giving enough time to Indian interceptors to intercept. Less time, more damage. More time, zero damage.
Agree - those taking it off track have been removed. I suggest sticking to the topic from here or the same fate for those talking crap....................Thread gone waaaaay off track now
I see one or two faint parallels between this scene and the recent disagreement here, lol.
Ive deliberately avoided the thread, so im not sure where that conclusion of me being unfair has come from!I always stand in amazement that Pakistan still exists given that half the time we seem to be around each others' necks in disagreement about one thing or another, and everyone seems to think they know it all and their way is the only way.
On a separate note, I find the attitude and treatment of @AeronautIR uncalled for, he's just like any of us expressing his opinion, and given some of the language and manners of other posters on here, he's always been polite and courteous to others.
I would like to remind all members that you may not agree or like the armed forces, but don't take it out on those who are actually willing to place their lives on the line for the country while you sit comfortably at home bashing away at your keyboards, and this goes especially to @Ak01 - mate, you're known for your insightful posts and opinions, and I for one find them extremely useful amidst all the chaff on here, but I find you're being way out of line at @AeronautIR.
It's not in this thread but other threads, if you think I'm wrong then just ignore me.Ive deliberately avoided the thread, so im not sure where that conclusion of me being unfair has come from!
Just for curiosity, Tomahawk warhead design...
