Pakistani F-16BM returning after smoking TTP hideouts, circa WoT. The same aircraft (Serial No. 84606) later smoked a Su-30MKI during Op Swift Retort in 2019.

After smoking "TTP hideouts" ? How do you know that info. Most strikes that are reported carried out in the night time or pre-dawn.

Against India, I agree job well done. But doesn't look good to use boasting statements against a mere terror group and especially when forces are unable to eliminate TTP top leadership till date. Same T's have "smoked" air-force's AWACs penetrating into all security and then did it all over again complete security breach in another airbase. I wonder given the resources available which party deserves making boasting statements.

Morale of own forces should never go down.

Quote of the Day
Months of preparation, one of those few opportunities, and the judgement of a split second are what makes some pilot an ace, while others think back on what they could have done.

would it be worth it for the PAF to buy these EW Pylons from Leonardo for its F-16s?

Also would be interesting to see if a laser defense system could be procured for the F-16. Then from this if Pakistan can co-develop/produce under licenses a system for the JF-17 and offer it on the Block 3, for potential export customers in Africa to have a fighter that withstand enemy MANPADs when doing the CAS mission.

Also, now that it’s been more than a decade along, looking into getting a Selex FOTD (Fiber Optic Towed Decoy) Ariel Mk. 2 similar to what is used on the Eurofighter should be looked into. Podded options should be easier to integrate and keep the F-16 viable. The experience from perhaps equipping 2 squadrons worth (36 aircraft) of the A/B planes could give data on how effective these kinds of upgrades could be if applied to the entire fleet of F-16s, JF-17s And J-10s, as well as what to look into for the J-31 and KAAN fighters.

Depends on the ownership of the systems. If Leonardo is the owner then possibility is there.

A PAF active-duty combatant F-16 pilot’s shoulder patch from 2016. The PAF conducted 1,300+ air strikes in 2015-2016 during Operation Zarb-e-Azb, killing several hundreds of high-value insurgent fighters and terrorist commanders.
