@RajaBaja
dear: can you list down top 10 major problems in Pak. in aero. sector?!
have you ever worked in an aero sector?
are you a professional aero. engineer or atleast aspire to be one?!
are you really aware of latest aero. developments?
IDK, your posts have loads of 'pre-assembled' words (portraying no thinking before words were generated!)
Dear - I don't give my intro on some online forum for very important reasons. Secondly, confusing questions, they go from asking if I am educated in aerospace..... to..... if I know anything about aviation industry
On my credentials, I am just an ordinary individual that comes here to kill time. But if you must know, you can refer to me as a professional in the areas I write about and highly qualified Alhamdulilah. There is lots of experience at very high levels not needed for discussion here.
You asked to write TEN things wrong about Pakistan's aerospace sector, I assume you mean military not commercial. For starters, there is no real "aviation industry" in Pakistan. So there are no 10 things wrong. Everything is wrong because we need this industry and also built on the latest standards like you see me writing about. Also, I won't use the term "aerospace" because the "space" sector is very limited so "aviation" may be a better term.
- Our military aviation industry is like an infant. It's now starting with first success being JF-17 at current level with PL-15, doing all workhorse duties for Pakistan. Since it was our first step into aviation industry, delays, education and learning gap, bad economy, etc, caused issues. But the project is a success. We gained critical know how and are now building majority of this aircraft here without the threat of any sanctions that alone is very big. It needed to be much ahead in technology R&D if our economy was better.
- We can have a bright future if we can foresee properly our threat environment (India, Israel weapon acquisitions) like I write about, assess our requirements, and take steps in fulfilling them. 5th gen is the latest standard. That must be introduced in Pakistan's aviation even slowly.
CRITICAL: I know some have issues with this 5th gen talk, especially a couple of our Chinese members. But they will proudly tell you that the main difference between them and the USA is that Chinese tech base is advanced with latest systems while the US has a huge wealth of legacy systems as old as 50 years! VERY True!
Because Chinese military really took off in 2000's and on the latest standard, which was 4th gen then. That's exactly why Pakistan needs to venture into this latest set of technologies too. We need our people trained in China or Turkey on real projects, and execute in steps some technology buildout here even under license but the latest 5th gen tech is a must! This process or capability improvement is an engineering model referred to as CMM (capability maturity model), there are other models out there also, all do the same thing.
Good thing is, Pakistan's military leadership is very focused on advance technologies, whether build slowly in components fashion similar to JF-17 approach, but build in Pakistan eventually. They also want a long term solution, a local advance fighter FREE of ANY foreign dependence to meet our defense needs and collaborate for future tech and enhancements.
If there was no Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Elon Musk and many others, the US economy may be half of what it is today. So you need a vision of the future. Whether you have money or not. You understand the future (threat picture, our airforce's requirements and direction) and you start taking action, divine help also comes. 5th gen is the vision here to meet our defense needs, slowly and steadily!
