Oh dear Micael, what have you started now. Had to mow the lawn and plant some flowers this weekend, looks like I will now be stuck on the forum....

This is a screenshot from a video released by CCTV this evening. The J-35 featured in the video—with its fuselage serial number "0001" and the "AVIC" lettering on its nose—clearly indicates that it is not a version intended for the PLA's own use.

However, it is now late at night here in China, and I need to get some rest. I will continue to examine this in greater detail tomorrow.
 
These newly released screenshots of J35A painted with Avic logo instead of PLA one do look interesting. For comparison, the J35A participated in last zhuhai airshow was painted with PLA logo. Only J10CE for ground display in last year’s Zhuhai Airshow was painted with AVIC logo.
