PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

What makes you think China would offer greater non platform capabilities in the J-35 for export?
Let me give you a brief introduction.

Systematized combat is the mode of operation of the Chinese military after its reform.

Under the systematized combat model, all participating units are an information unit, and these information units can be adjusted according to the scale of the operation.

A conventional systematized combat group includes reconnaissance systems including satellites, early warning systems, radar systems with anti-stealth capabilities, air force, army assault groups, air defense systems, unmanned systems, anti-drone systems, long-range firepower systems, electronic warfare systems, satellite jamming systems, logistical support systems, and so on.

Since other countries do not have these weapons and systems, this requires independent satellite systems and a large amount of advanced equipment. If exported, the systematized combat features need to be removed.

At present, Pakistan already has a combat system primarily based on fourth-generation aircraft. Based on Pakistan's equipment and purchased weapons, Pakistan can form a simplified fifth-generation aircraft combat system.

UAE!? May as well hand over the plane to the Americans....

China has always maintained good diplomatic relations with Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia. Due to history and trade, Chinese people generally have a favorable impression of the Arab world.

I know that Pakistanis are generally dissatisfied with the UAE's stance in the Iran War, but the UAE actually maintains good relations with both the United States and China. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi has just concluded his visit to Beijing and has pledged significant investment and signed an agreement to use CNH to settle a portion of oil exports.

In other words, I personally believe that the current relationship between the UAE government and China and the United States is similar to the relationship during the Musharraf government in Pakistan. China has always trusted the Musharraf government, hasn't it? By the same token, China may not care about the current UAE government's relationship with the Uited States.

The unit price of Rafale purchased by India in 2016 was 260 million US dollars.

The unit price for purchasing Su-57 from Russia is between 40 million and 60 million US dollars. The price for Algeria to purchase Su-57E is 120 million US dollars.

But India prefers Rafale.
The sale of military equipment focuses on geopolitical considerations.

The same weapon is priced differently when sold to different countries.

For example, the price of the U.S. F-35 is $110 million when sold to Israel and $188 million when sold to Greece.

I believe the performance of Israel's F-35 is superior to that of Greece's F-35.

Got you, thanks for explanation

I am unsure here, UAE are very close to Israelis. Look at issue Qatar had with Indian spies passing on information to Israel on it's submarine programe

Someone once said ( I guess @JamD ? or @Ak01 ) if PAF starts constructing climate control hangars and that construction appears on satellite images, then consider J-35 arrival in Pakistan.

PAF has no fighter squadrons at Nur Khan.

Chinese military media predicts that 6G fighter jets will enter service in 2028 and deploy over 100 by 2030. So the window period for the J-35 to join PLAAF will be as short and limited as the J-10C.

I dont think there is any reason for China to rush induction of 6G. It can afford to continue bring new things and technologies to its current 6G options till 2030 and start production then. Its not like USA will be fielding 6G in South China Sea by that time.

Looks like we're seeing the J35 with the PAF sooner than expected, but where does that leave the fleet? I would say no further JF17s, export orders only. Maybe even find a buyer for the Block I aircraft. That would allow further airframes of the J10 to replace Mirages. I'm assuming Vipers stay around until around 2040. That would leave the PFX or whatever comes from that to replace the Vipers.

Then what is the gen of SU57? No super-cruise, no stealth, no modern avionics, no AESA radar, no link 16.....

4.5 at best.
I mean F-35 doesn't have super-cruise. Does that bar it from being a 5th gen fighter? I'm not sure about your no aesa claim, Zhuk-AE is an AESA last I know

First time in history that the balance of air power will actually be massively in Pakistan's favour.
As long as India keeps importing military hardware to keep other countries on its side, I think we'll be okay for at least the next few decades insha'Allah.

That would be a fleet made up of absolutely obsolete Western aircraft alongside a modern high-tech Chinese aircraft.

Doesn't make sense. Why not just go with the 3Js?

JF-17
J-10
J-35

Get rid of rest of the clutter, and only fly the latest and best the Chinese have to offer.

PAF has no fighter squadrons at Nur Khan.

I'm guesstimating. NASTP is in nurkhan. Next-Gen fighter program is handled from there. . 1 or 2 J-35 would come to Pakistan for extensive testing. Either they'd station them at Kamra or at Nur Khan. No construction of new hangars in Kamra. So Nur Khan becomes a guesstimate.

... If we were really going off of what india is intrested in then they were offered f-35s by trump but chose rafales. Does that automatically mean rafale > f35?
The US would not offer F-35s to India, only for the F-35 technology to be shared with the Russians.

The best the US has seriously offered to India to date is the upgraded F-16s during the MRCS competition or the F-21 that doesn't exist.

Everything else that anyone says cannot be taken seriously.

Link 16 is a nato standard system lol the russians have their own datalink and su-57 is one of the best network centric platforms because of it. In fact its much better than the f-22 at. It has super cruise bro but only mach 1.2 iirc. Its more of an issue of it not meeting russian requirements of super cruise at low altitudes. Su-57 has arguably the best avionics suite in any fighter in service simply because of the complete breadth of different systems integrated, partially because it also acts as a test platform. Felon has an aesa bro but im sure its unsatisfactory and behind western and Chinese systems because how much russia lags behind. And this issue of stealth is stupid because its more stealthier than any 4-4.5 gen by a wide margin even if it falls behind comparitive 5th gen platforms its closer to them than it is to a rafale.

Su-57 not yet, it doesn’t have a datalink. It’s planned to, but neither the SU-57 nor the its UCAV wingman have finished Russian's are still developing and testing? Unless you Chinese give Russia the tech support. The most important 5 gen feature is NOT only stealth, But system integration and sharing. 5 Gen is all about integrated communication, Stealth is there just to buy you time and range to lunch your things. And unfortunately Su-57 RCS. It’s a radar signature magnet.
