PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

Hy man. As I mention this in my previous reply to you as well. There are multiple ways of looking at this. You are being the glass half full guy here while I was being the devil acting a glass half empty guy. As they say in project management, plan for the worst and hope for the best. Another saying goes failing to plan is planning to fail. So I will expect to grow my punch starting end of 2028. You can wait till 2034 if you want.

Does this mean I am right and you are wrong or you are wrong and I am right ? No. So I think you can try to live with my opinion. It may feel difficult in start but you will learn it. And trust me it will ultimately feels good.

Not sure what point is being made here, but yes, lets see if India can get a world class AESA in action soon top compelment all the other massive acheivments HAL has made....

Nope, wrong. Even Indian timelines are 15 years for the SU-30 upgrade and that is a MASSIVE "if"

You are basically assuming India will develop, test and integrate an AESA radar into a foreign fighter in a record time span, when we all know their track record. If HAL claims 10 years, it will be closer to 20.

Also the initial contract is for 84 planes. So you are wrong on timelines and numbers

At best, and if HAL as a complete sea change as a company and works a miracle, there will be 80 odd planes by 2040.

That is a joke, when the world will be 5th/6th Gen by then

Jc10c pl-15 , F16s & j17s are sufficient to deal with india.

Jc10 is a 4.5 Gen is not suitable for Israeli stealth F35s. We would need j35 for the Mecca pact Security and peace.

Only a 5th generation j35 would be able to counter Israeli f35 stealth.

Agreed, and even just fighting the F-35 is not enough, Isreal needs to be assured we can strike into Israel like it did with Iran. Not saying the J-35 alone will assure that, but it is a stop in the right direction

J-35 will come. Sooner or later depending on how Indians proceed with their AMCA/Su-57 ideas. It is not that important if its 2027 or 2032.

You guys should be thankful that there is a J-35 for export to begin with and that too from an ally that has sometimes given Pakistan favourable payment plans.

Biggest hurdle to Turkeys military is being part of Nato.

It will always stop Ankara from
Buying advanced weaponry from China and believe me they will need it soon

You boys keep giving me heart palpitations thinking there is news on the J35

Unfortunately there isn’t a timetable for j35s delivery date for Pakistan? China is prioritising arming itself, which means that it thinks either it already can insanely ramp up the J35 production to like 150 a year already... OR it thinks the US will actually just go Hitler mode and start attacking every Chinese ally which means China has to protect themselves. In my previous posts I did argue China will arm her Naval carrier fuijan first and then her Airforce makes absolute sense. It could be up-to 3 years before we see any J35s with PAF. Just my opinion I guess.

Why did the PLA stop procuring the J-10C in 2024, even though it entered service in 2017? Because multiple production lines for the J-20 began operations in 2024, leading to a surge in production capacity.

Now let’s look at the J-36/J-50: they are expected to enter small-batch production in 2027, enter full-scale service in 2029, and reach peak production capacity in 2032.

Therefore, the PLA will likely stop procuring the J-35 in 2032, and SAC will only be able to fulfill the PLA’s J-35 orders as much as possible during the window between 2026 and 2032.

The land next to the CAC headquarters airport was originally a vocational school. The school has since relocated, and the land has been acquired by CAC.

According to some industry experts, this site is likely to be used for the construction of a production facility for the 6th-Gen fighter jet.

The satellite image is from 2024, not a current real-time image.

Given the current situation, the probability of this production facility becoming operational in 2027 is low. Currently, CAC primarily uses its R&D manufacturing line to produce the 6th-Gen fighter jet. As for SAC, progress will be even slower.

But surely J-35 can give PLA numbers? PLA cannot procure just very high end jets right?

a) Pakistan's problem now also include Israel b) even if it did not include Israel, the multiplier effect of a J-35AE in being able to achieve virtually uncontested kill ratios against the IAF make the J-35AE more of value to the PAF.

I disagree with your point of view very fundamentally. Pakistan should not buy anymore J10CE or JF17C but must buy the J-35AE instead. Neither of us is going to change the others mind on this, and that is fine too.

Don't be surprised if the KAAN came before J-35. It is going to take years before Hindustan inducts 5th gen fighters. Until that time, Türkiye would have made significant progress on the KAAN fighter.
