I've just gotten some top secret information that I'm afraid to make public now. I need to make this information public after the official agencies have released some information.
What is certain is that there is no J35AE.

No.

J35 (WS21) is the export version.J35A (WS19) is the PLAAF version. They are fundamentally different.

If the export version is J35AE, it means it uses WS19 engine. Not possible at the moment.
 
A lot is going on but still situation is not clear when 5th Generation would be inducted in PAF.
It is hard to give time frame but now J31 is transformed into J35 Ae. It is been show-cased in Zhuhai Air show. It looks induction is not so far.
However, we are still waiting for L-15 Trainers.
Logically, L-15 should come first followed by J35Ae. Anyways, waiting for these silent force: J35Ae
 
If all J35A aircraft use the WS19 engine, which is currently in experimental flight, I am curious when the Air Force will put this fighter into service. Besides, I am more curious about the speed at which Pakistan will obtain the export version of the J35. The WS21 engine has already matured, and perhaps the people who predicted on this forum are right. The J35 entered the Pakistani Air Force earlier than we imagined. I originally thought it would be at least after 2028

If PAF buys the WS19 version of the J35, it will certainly not be delivered anytime soon. If PAF buys the WS21 version of the J35, delivery is possible in a short time. There will be more J35(WS21/export version and naval version) than J35A(WS19).

I can't say much more than that.

The first thing I can say for sure is that there is certainly no problem with the production supply of the WS21. However, Pakistan has purchased only one. This can be a lot of speculation.

Conjecture one:
Explore the possibility of using WS21 for JF17.
But, Pakistan does not have the capability to do so. Such work should be done at CAC. And, it is not possible to use only one engine for such exploratory work. So, we can rule out this conjecture.

Speculation two:
Training of WS21 maintenance team.
This is a very likely use. We know that the export version of J35 is using WS21 engine.PAF has openly expressed its intention to buy J31/J35. So it is possible to buy a WS21 in advance to train a team of engine maintenance engineers. This is also a side confirmation that PAF will get J35(WS21).

The above is my personal speculation, please analyze with caution.

Conjecture one is more plausible ...it was my first instinct .

What do u mean by one unit? How many jets ? A squadron? Or are u talking about 1 j-35 with ws-21 engine for testing?

Only one engine.
I don't know how to understand this sentence after translation.
